Bakrid Qurbani – More ‘Kuzhandhai Swami’s’ rescued directly from Slaughterhouses

Both practical as well as spiritual perspectives, there is a strong justification for bringing about a law to prevent slaughtering cows which possess so many noble qualities. It is absolutely necessary. Forgetting the differences of caste and creed, people of all sects should unite together and gather support to bring about this law and make the government act. As from time immemorial, the cow and the noble thoughts and philosophies associated to it, have enriched our culture with unique and significant aspects, we should attribute a special status to the cow among all other species and enable it to live healthily forever. Cow protection is ‘Parama Dharmam’ and ‘Parama Punyam’. The welfare of the cow brings about the welfare of the whole nation. If we protect the cow, all the sins of the world get reduced automatically; peace will prevail everywhere. Any harm meted out to it will bring upon sufferings to the entire world. To steer the world through the path of Dharma, cow protection becomes a dire need. – Jagadguru Chandrasekharendra Saraswathy Swamigal

Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – This bakrid eve was a race against time for a lot of reasons which I explained in my previous post HERE. After the rescue of first ‘Kuzhandhai Swami’ (roughly translated as ‘infant god’) the butcher got couple of more pure native breed Kangeyam ‘Kuzhandhai Swami’s’ from his hideout for killing the next morning. I found that out, went to him again, negotiated and bought them to the temple near my home. While I was attending to those rescued rishabams in the temple I came to know he got another couple of more ‘Kuzhadhai Swami’s’ for killing again the next morning. Went again to the slaughter house, had a straight talk to him and told him I will buy the two more ‘Kuzhandhai Swami’s’ and asked him to close the shop for at-least next 5 days which he agree to. All the cows except for one has now been safely transported to the Gosala. I have kept one ‘Kuzhadhai Swami’ near my home at my friend’s place and will transport him in the coming week.

If you are wondering if these big gigantic rishabams are aptly named ‘Kuzhandhai Swami’ I suggest you to look at the pictures and video clippings below. Without a doubt you will agree with me why I coined them this name.

With Periyava Anugraham and all of your support we could save these precious lives. Rama Rama

Four more Cows in Slaughterhouse on Bakrid eve. You can see a board A1 beef stall hanging upside down in the one of the corner asbestos sheet. Though you see little hay that has been put for name sake the cows don’t even touch them as smell blood all over and are mentally crumbled.

Rescued Cows heaving a sigh of relief and having a meal and drink in the temple near my home and then transported to Gosala

Cows Relaxing in Gosala

One more ‘Kuzhadhai Swami’ kept near my home which will be transported to Gosala this week. See how Parama Sadhu this Rishabam is. Dont’ miss ‘Kuzhandhi Swami’ attentively listening to Bhagyadha Lakshmi Baramma song, taking bath and living peacefully with small children. The people whom who see in the picture have no experience with cows but you can see how well the cows adapt themselves to human beings.
