Few of my personal point of view, every kamakoti devotee should have this calendar at home – this has listed all jayanthi, aradhana of all three acharyas in addition to many religious important dates. Page #31 & #32 are the two pages I like the most. #31 is of critical importance that our Matam shows very clearly the unbroken lineage of our Guruparampara. It is very important for any guru Peetam. Some peetams have the details of the acharyas – some don’t. I always feel surprised and blessed how fortunate we are part of Kamakoti family. Page# 32 – list of all dates for shanmathas and aradhana for all gurus. I wonder how much time has been invested in creating and doing spoon-feeding for public like us to think about these acharyas or read a shloka about a devata on these days. Quite amazing!

Here is a small note about the samithi….
Maha Periyava started Kamakshi Seva Samithi in 1981 for:
- Performing the Aradhana of Paramaguru, the 67th Acharya, Pujya Sri. Mahadevendra
- Saraswathi Swamigal who attained Siddhi at Kalavai;
- Organising food ( Annadhanam) for 3 days for all devotees attending Vyasa puja at
- our Matham;
- Performing Annabhishekam for the Lord at Gangaikonda Sozhapuram every year.
Added in the last few years:
- Publishing Hindu Religious calendar in English every year;
- Performing Annadhanam during the Aradhanai of Pujya Sri Maha Swamigal and Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal every year;
- Publishing and distributing Hindu Religious calendar every year;
- Publishing and distributing Dilip, a Religious-Cultural Magazine every quarter;
- Helping distressed people in ways possible.

Reckon HH attained siddhi on 08/Jan/1994.

In the post it is shown that Annabhishekam at GKC is performed by Kamakshi seva samithi.
It is under Mahaperiava’s guidance after HH return in 1983 , Ganga water was brought for Periava Snanam, visit of Brahmasri Vedavinesa kurukkal of GangaiKonda Cholapuram for help from MahPeriava
Annabhishekam was started by Sri Annabhishekam Committee in the year 1985 under the head of Purvasrama periava sishya Mettur Rajagopal ( Later Mettur Swamigal)
A seperate Sri KANCHI KAMAKOTI ANNABHISHEKAM COMMITTEE TRUST is formed who perform not only ANNABHISHEKAM at GKC but also to other small village temples, other extend participation of other functions at GangaiKonda Cholapuram.
For clarification and devotees not getting confused I am posting this as Managing Trustee of Sri Annabhishekam Committee.
Kindly request Sri Kamakshi Seva Samithi to remove this point from their various activities.

There is absolutely no doubt that the Annabhishekam committee & founder member like you and other members have been doing a phenomenal job of organising the event year after year.
We are all aware that Maha Periyava used to say that like a squirrel for Rama – Individuals & organisations, however small, should come together for a task to be more meaningful.
” வருஷா வருஷம் அன்னாபிஷேகம் பண்ணுங்கோ” – I understand these were Mahaperiyava’s words, to all Bhakthas who were around then( Possibly at Satara, when our Samithi’s founding Trustee Sri Krishnamoorthy visited Him).
We are like a squirrel, participating in the Annabhighegam.
We never meant that we are the “Organisers”, but performers by participating.
