கோ பரம புனிதமானதாக இருப்பதால் அதன் உடம்புக்குள்ளிருந்து எடுக்கிற கோரோசனையும் ஈச்வரார்ப்பணம் ஆவதற்குத் தக்கதாக இருக்கிறது.

நடராஜாவாக ஆடும் ஈச்வர ஸந்நிதியில் நந்திகேச்வரரே ம்ருதங்கம் வாசிப்பது பல பேருக்குத் தெரிந்த விஷயம். அதை விடவும் விசேஷமாக ஒன்று. ’கோ ச்ருங்கம்’ என்கிற மாட்டுக் கொம்பின் வழியாகப் பரமேச்வரனுக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்வதை விசேஷமானதாகச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறது. ருத்ர-சமகங்கள் ஒரு ஆவ்ருத்தி சொல்கிற காலத்துக்கு கோ ச்ருங்க த்வாரம் வழியாக சிவலிங்கத்துக்கு க்ஷீராபிஷேகம் [பாலபிஷேகம்] செய்வது மஹா புண்யம். காளை மாட்டின் மேல் உட்கார்ந்து கொண்டிருப்பவருக்கு கோச்ருங்கத்தால் பசும்பால் அபிஷேகம் பொருத்தந்தானே?

கொம்பு வழியாக அபிஷேகம் என்பதோடு பஞ்சகவ்ய வஸ்துக்களான ஐந்துமே ஸ்வாமிக்கு அபிஷேகமாகின்றன. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்

It is because the cow is so divine and sacred that the Ghorosonai obtained from its body is fit enough to be offered to Eswara. It is widely known to many people that in the Eswara Sannidhi where the Lord dances in the form of Nataraja, it is Nandikeswarar Himself who plays the Mridhangam (a percussion instrument). Isn’t it apt to do Abhishekam to the One sitting on a Bull with cow’s milk via cow’s horn?
