அம்பது வருஷங்களுக்கு முன்னால் சோழவரத்தில் மீனாக்ஷிஸுந்தரமையர், ஒரு பள்ளிக்கூட வாத்யார். மஹா பெரியவா பக்தர். அந்த பள்ளிக்கூடத்தில் அவரே தான் எல்லாம். அதனாலே அங்கே இங்கே நகரமுடியலை. காஞ்சிபுரம் போகணும். பெரியவாளை பாரத்து தரிசனம் பண்ண ஒரு நீண்டநாள் ஆசை. ஏக்கம் தான் மிச்சம்.
ஒருநாள் வீட்டிலே காரடையார்_நோன்பு. அந்த வருஷம் அது பங்குனி மாஸம் ராத்ரி பிறந்ததால், நோன்பையும் ராத்ரியே பண்ணிவிட்டு ரொம்ப நேரம் கழித்து வாத்தியார் மனைவி தூங்கப் போனாள்.
அப்போது அவளுக்கு ஒரு அதிசய, விசித்திரமான_கனவு!
மஹா பெரியவா அந்த அம்மா முன்னால் வந்து நிற்கிறார்! அவளுக்கு பயமும் பக்தியும் தூக்கிப்போட்டு உடம்பு ஜிலீர்னு ஆயிடுறது. அப்படியே அவருடைய பாதங்களில் விழுந்து நமஸ்காரம் பண்ணுகிறாள்.
”மஹா பெரியவா பகவானே” என்று வாய் சொல்ல நினைக்கிறது ஆனால் வார்த்தைகளே வரலை. தொண்டையில் யார் இப்படி டால்மியா சிமெண்ட் போட்டது?
”எழுந்திரு” – பெரியவாளின் மெல்லிய இனிய குரல் அபய ஹஸ்தத்தோடு .
“இதோ பாரு. நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கைல எந்தக் கஷ்டத்தையும் பகவானோட நாமஸங்கீர்த்தனம் போக்கிடும். போ. கவலைப்படாதே! நா ஒன்னோட ஆத்துல பூஜை பண்ணுவேன்”
மெய் சிலிர்த்தது. வாத்யார் மனைவிக்கு சந்தோஷம் தாங்கவில்லை. படுக்கையிலிருந்து எழுந்தாள். இப்படி ஒரு கனவா?
‘ஏன்னா, இதை கேளுங்கோ”….. விவரம் சொன்னாள் . அய்யரால் நம்பவே முடியவில்லை. அப்படியா அப்படியா அப்படியா என்று தான் திருப்பி திருப்பி சொன்னார். அந்த கனவை அடிக்கடி எண்ணி மகிழ்ந்தார்கள்.
“ஆனாலும், எனக்கு ரொம்ப பேராசைதான்!… மஹா பெரியவாளே வந்து நம்மாத்துல பூஜை பண்ணணும்னு எப்டி ஆசைப்பட்ருக்கேன்!. அது எப்படி அவாளுக்கு தெரிஞ்சுது?” என்று அங்கலாய்த்தாள் வாத்யார் மனைவி.
1965 நவம்பர் மாஸம் ஏதோ ஒரு ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை. மத்யான்னம் அவர்கள் வீட்டு வாஸலில் ஒரு கார் வந்து நின்றது. அதிலிருந்து பூணூல், ஶிகை வைத்துக்கொண்டு பஞ்சகச்சம் கட்டிக் கொண்டு ஒரு பெரியவர் இறங்கினார்.
“மீனாக்ஷிஸுந்தரமையர்….??…….”
“ஆமா….நாந்தான்…..மீனாக்ஷிஸுந்தரம்…. வாங்கோ! நீங்க யாருன்னு..!.”
“நா….ஸ்ரீமடம் முகாம்லேர்ந்து வரேன்..பெரியவா திருப்பதிலேர்ந்து மெட்ராஸ் வந்துண்டிருக்கார்…ஒரொரு 15 மைலுக்கு ஒரு எடத்துல தங்கி பூஜை பண்ணிண்டு வருவா, மாஸக் கடைசீல மெட்ராஸ் போகணும்ன்னு உத்தேஸம்!….”
“நவம்பர் 15…..இங்க சோழவரத்துல தங்கப் போறா….அதான்….ஒங்களோட க்ருஹத்தை ரெண்டு நாளைக்கு கொஞ்சம் குடுப்பேளா? .பெரியவா இங்கேயே தங்கி பூஜை, அனுஷ்டானங்கள் பண்ணிப்பார்.. எப்டி?…ஒங்களுக்கு ஸௌகர்யப்படுமா?”
“ஸௌகர்யப்…ப.. டு…மா..வா? எங்களோட பரம பாக்யம்னா அது !! எத்தனையோ ஜென்ம புண்ய பலன் அல்லவா இது? எத்தனை நாள் வேணாலும் பெரியவா தங்கிக்கலாம். என்ன ஏற்பாடு பண்ணணுமோ சொல்லுங்கோ! ஏற்பாடுகள் பண்றேன் இப்போலிருந்தே. ஆஹா! …என்ன பாக்யம்..புண்யம்…”
அய்யரும் மனைவியும் கோரஸ் மாதிரி உணர்ச்சி வெள்ளத்தில் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருந்தனர் கண்களை தாரை தாரையாக ஆனந்த கண்ணீர்.
“நீங்க ஒண்ணுமே பண்ணவேண்டாம். நாங்க… மடத்துலேர்ந்தே எல்லா ஏற்பாடும் பண்ணிடுவோம். எடம் மட்டும் குடுத்தா போறும்..”
அன்று ஸாயங்காலமே ஊர் முக்யஸ்தர்களை கூப்பிட்டு பெரியவா பரிவாரங்களோடு தங்க, தக்க ஏற்பாடுகளை ப்ளான் பண்ணினார்கள். ஒரு தெருவையே மடத்துக்கென்று காலி பண்ணியாயிற்று.
யானை, ஒட்டகம் கட்ட, ஆபீஸ், பாரிஷதர்கள் ஓய்வெடுக்க, ஸமையல் செய்ய, ஸாப்பாடு போட என்று
ஊர்க்காரர்களும் சேர்ந்து ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஆசை ஆசையாய் ஏற்பாடு பண்ணி சுற்று வட்டார க்ராம மக்கள், தான்யம், காய்கறி கொண்டுவந்து மலையாக குவித்தனர். செட்டிநாடு ராஜா அரிசி மூட்டைகளை அனுப்பிவிட்டார்.
நவம்பர் 14 அன்று பூர்ண கும்பத்தோடு பெரியவாளை ஊர் எல்லையிலிருந்தே தக்க மரியாதையோடு அழைத்து வந்தனர். மூன்று நாட்கள் தங்கமுடிவு. அப்புறம் அது ஐந்து நாட்கள் ஆகியது. எல்லோர் மனமும் கொள்ளை போனது. அனைவருக்கும் ஆனந்த பரவசம்.
மீனாக்ஷிஸுந்தரமையரின் மனைவியின் கனவில் வந்ததை உண்மையாக்கி, அவளுடைய பக்தியை
அவர்கள் வேண்டியதை பூர்த்தி செய்து ஊர்ஜிதப்படுத்தினார்.
பெரியவா இப்படித்தான் ஊர் ஊராக, க்ராமம் க்ராமமாக பாதங்கள் தேய நடந்து, மூன்று கால பூஜை [அதுவும் க்ரமம் தப்பாத பூஜை], அனுஷ்டானம், ஸமையல் ஸாப்பாடு, அன்னதானம், நேரங்காலம் தெரியாமல் கோடிக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் குறைகளை கேட்பது, தீர்வு சொல்வது, பரிவாரங்களோடு, மடிஸஞ்சியை கூண்டு வண்டிக்குள் வைத்துக் கொண்டு, வெய்யிலோ, மழையோ, அத்வானக்காடோ, ஆகாஶம் பார்க்கவோ, குடிஸையோ, கல்லோ, முள்ளோ எல்லாவற்றையும் “ஒன்றே” எனக்கொண்டு,
நமக்காக இப்படி தன்னை விருத்தாப்பியத்திலும் வருத்திக் கொண்டார்?
எதற்காக? ஜகத் குரு அல்லவா. நம்மை ரக்ஷிக்கவே. இரு கை போதுமா அவரை நன்றியோடு வணங்க….

I was just 34years old then , living at Hosur employed as station master Hosur. My two nieces had lost their father at a very early age and were living with me as per my mother’s instructions. As per my mother’s advice I wanted to do my niece’s marriage early. I wanted to do somehow though I was earning hand to mouth those days. But I was determined to do their marriages somehow. So many horoscopes came but none materialised because of girl’s financial background. Me and my wife were frustrated and went to hill temple at Hosur Chandrachoodeswar temple. While returning after deep prayer about my niece’s marriage when we were climbing down
I don’t know where it came , a photo of Maharperiyava with both acharyas fell on me taking me by surprise. I did not give much importance to the incident But next week ,casually we proceeded to Kanjipuram to seek darshan of Periyava.. While our turn came ,Periyavs blessed both of us and enquired abt us . we explained our desire to complete the marriage of my niece as early as possible,He told us to go back to Hosur and the the alliance will come. We returned back and within a week the local tahsildar came to our house and enquired about my niece for his only son.. I was spell bound and wordless to describe my feeling then.Though the horoscopes and other things tallied, I was worried abt the financial aspect. But somehow financial help came from my reluctant two brothers . I think Periyavs inspired them . To the satisfaction of all, the marriage went on well.Everything due to directions given by Periyava only. Both my niece’s got married and now having grand children. Even today whenever I visit Conjipuram Sankara madam I used to be emotion abt Periva’s grace on us.Jaya Jaya Sankara hara hara sanksra

is the daughter of my Mama …Bombalapalayam /G Mahalingam , a Maha Periyava devotee, who once organised Sankara Jayanthi in Nagpur …when he was working there in the P&T Audit.
It waas afteroon time. .. GANGSA heard a knock on the door. A couple of Sri Matam were standing there,
introudcing themselves. Sai Maha Periyava was comng in that route. and would halt in their house
for Anushtanam. whether it would be convenient. Ganga has the experience and knowledge and had Darshan of Maha Periyava .earlier. She got ready quickly, sent word to her husband to come home.
Put kolam and kept a poorna kumbham ready. In the meanwhile Maha Periyava arrived.
You mayt imagin their . tension. Similar to Meeenakshi sundaram Iyer and his wife.
He took rest and after tAnushtanam Ganga had the presence of mind…offered some refreshments palagaram to the people who had come with Maha Periyava. Later she was told, that Maha Periyava told
them to find out a house in front of which, kolam was visible…and find out out from the people inside
and ascertain, whether would be convenient of Him for a brief stay for Anustanam. The rest was perhaps intended for the Sri Matam Anukka thondars.

Pranam. அடியேன் அப்போது நான்கு வயது, என் அப்பா அதே ஸ்கூல் வாத்தியார், எங்காத்துக்கு நேர் எதிரே தங்கியிருந்தார். எனக்கு தெரியாது பெரியவாள தொட்டு சேவிக்க கூடாதுன்னு ஆனா நான் காலை தொட்டு சேவிசுட்டேன் பெரியவர் மறுபடியும் ஸ்னானம். அங்கிருந்தவா என்னை நன்றாக திட்டினர். ஆனால் அன்றிலிருந்து எனக்கு சாமியார் ஆக ஆசை. வெகுவிரைவில் நிறைவேற இன்று கயாவில் நாளை மறுநாள் காசியிலும் ப்ரார்திப்பேன்.
