Since there are difficulties in binding everyone by the same rule, relaxations have been made according to the country, time, and place. Aabath dharmam, Yatra dharmam, Desacharam and Kulacharam are all because of this. The Aabath dharmam and Yatra dharmam I referred to appeared to accommodate certain situations when it may not be possible to strictly follow the rules of sastras.
