பெரியவா என்ன ப்ரஸாதம் குடுத்திருப்பார்…ன்னு சொல்லுங்கோ!!
 

பெரியவாளே கதி! என்றிருக்கும் பல குடும்பங்களில் ஒன்றான ஒரு டெல்லி வாழ் குடும்பத்தில் மனைவிக்கு நெடுநாட்களாக ஏதோ உடலில் கோளாறு. என்ன சாப்பிட்டாலும் வாந்தி வந்து விடும். வெறும் ஹார்லிக்ஸை கரைத்துக் குடித்தபோது அதுவும் வாந்தியாக வெளியே வந்து அந்த அம்மா மயக்கம் அடைந்ததும், கணவர் பதறி அடித்துக் கொண்டு ஹாஸ்பிடலில் சேர்த்தார்.
 

இரவு முழுதும் I C U வில் இருந்தாள். நிஜமாகவே ரொம்ப ரொம்ப நல்ல டாக்டர் வந்து ” ஒங்க மனைவிக்கு உடல்ல எந்த கோளாறும்

இல்லே……இந்த டெஸ்ட் அந்த டெஸ்ட்…ன்னு அனாவச்யமா பணம் பிடுங்குவா …….அதுனால, இப்பவே டிஸ்சார்ஜ் பண்ணிண்டு பேசாம ஆத்துக்கு போங்கோ” என்று சொன்னார். இவரும் பணத்தை செட்டில் பண்ணிவிட்டு மனைவியை பார்க்கச் சென்றார்.
 

அவள் சொன்னாள்…”நான் நேத்திக்கு ஆத்ல மயக்கமா விழுந்ததும், எனக்கு என் முன்னால பெரியவா நின்னுண்டு இருந்தா மாதிரி இருந்துது……..ஒனக்கு எல்லாம் செரியாயிடும்…..நாளைலேர்ந்து காலமே பல் தேச்சதும், ஒரு வில்வத்ல கொஞ்சம் விபூதி வெச்சு மொதல்ல சாப்டு….நாப்பத்தஞ்சு நாள்ல எல்லாம் செரியாப்

போய்டும்….ன்னு சொன்னார்”.
 

வீட்டுக்கு போன மறுநாளே விடிகாலை வில்வமும் விபூதியும் சாப்பிட ஆரம்பித்தாள். வாந்தி என்ற வார்த்தையையே மறந்து விட்டாள்.
 

சரியாக 43 ஆம் நாளில், ஏதோ ஞாபகமறதியால் வில்வம் சாப்பிடாமல், காப்பியைக் குடித்துவிட்டாள். அவ்வளவுதான்! சாயங்காலம் கணவர் ஆபீசிலிருந்து வந்ததும் வாந்தியும் ஆரம்பித்தது. ஆனால், இம்முறை அதில் ரத்தம் தெரிந்தது!
 

அரண்டு போய் டாக்டரிடம் காட்டி, T B யாக இருக்குமோ என்று கேட்டார். ஹாஸ்பிடல் போகும்போதே மனஸில் ” ப்ரபோ! ரெண்டு நாள் பாக்கி இருக்கறச்சே…வில்வம் சாப்டாம, காப்பி குடிச்சுட்டா……..தெரியாம பண்ணிட்டா…மன்னிச்சிடுங்கோ! அனுக்ரகம் பண்ணுங்கோ” என்று மன்றாடினார்.
 

டாக்டரும் TB இல்லை வெறும் பலஹீனம்தான் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டார்.
 

அன்று சாயங்காலம் வீட்டுக்கு வந்தபோது, ஆச்சர்யமாக அவர் மனைவி ரொம்ப ரொம்ப தெம்போடு அவரை வரவேற்றாள். அவள் சொன்னது……….”மத்யானம் பக்கத்தாத்து மாமி இங்க வந்தா…..நேத்திக்கு அவாத்து பிள்ளையோட கல்யாணம் மெட்ராஸ்ல நடந்தப்புறம் இளையாத்தன்குடி போய் பெரியவாளை தர்சனம் பண்ணப் போனாளாம்……அப்போ மாமி பெரியவாகிட்ட, “நான் டெல்லிலேர்ந்து வரேன்…..எங்காத்துக்கு பக்கத்ல இருக்கற என் ஸ்நேகிதிக்கு ஏதோ உடம்பு படுத்திண்டே இருக்கு ………பெரியவாதான் அனுக்ரகம் பண்ணணும்” ன்னு சொன்னாளாம்.
 

அதுக்கு பெரியவா, ” என்னது! ஒன்னோட friend ஆ! பெரிய உபகாரியா? அடிக்கடி வாந்தி எடுக்கறாளாக்கும்?……எல்லாம் செரியாயிடும்” ன்னு சொல்லிட்டு, ப்ரஸாதம் குடுத்தாராம். மாமி அதை பிரிக்காம எங்கிட்ட குடுத்தா…….அதுல பெரியவா என்ன ப்ரஸாதம் குடுத்திருப்பார்…ன்னு சொல்லுங்கோ!” என்றாள்.
 

பக்தர் கல்கண்டு, திராக்ஷை, குங்குமம், விபூதி என்று

சொன்னார். கொண்டு வந்து காட்டினால்…….ஒரு சின்ன இலையில், ரெண்டே ரெண்டு வில்வ இலைகள்!
 

45 நாட்களுக்கு ரெண்டு நாள் இருக்கும் போது மறந்துபோய் காப்பி

குடித்ததால், விட்டுப் போன ரெண்டு நாட்களுக்காக ரெண்டே ரெண்டு வில்வ இலைகள்!”
 

நீ கண்டது கனவல்ல…நிஜம்” என்று நிருபித்த அழகு மகான்களுக்கே

முடியும்!

 

பெரியவாள் வாழும் காலத்திலே நாமும் வாழ்கிறோம் என்பதுதான் எத்தனை பெரிய பாக்யம் !

 

அவரைப் பார்ப்பதற்கும் அவரது அருள் வாக்கைக் கேட்பதற்கும் என்ன தவம் செய்தோமோ?.

Prasadam from Periyava

Sri Periyava is like a “Kulaguru” for many families.  One such couple devoted to Sri Periyava lived in Delhi.

The wife had some health issues.  She could not retain any food that she ate.  Immediately she would vomit.  One day, she tried taking liquid food and she vomited that also and fainted.  The husband got worried and admitted her in the nearby hospital.

She was kept in ICU the whole night.  Next day, a very sincere doctor checked her and said to the husband “There is nothing wrong with your wife’s health.  If you say here, these people will do various tests unnecessarily for the sake of earning more money.  So better discharge her now and take her home”.  After finishing the discharge formalities, the husband went to see his wife.

She told her husband that the previous day, as soon as she fainted, she felt like Periyava was standing in front of her and telling her “You will become alright soon.  From tomorrow after brushing teeth, keep some vibuthi in one vilva leaf and eat.  Do this for 45 days and you will become alright”.  She informed her husband that she wanted to follow Periyava’s advice even though it was in a dream.

From next day, she started eating vilva leaf with vibhuthi every day.  She felt so much better that she had totally forgotten the word “vomit”.

But on 43^rd day, she completely forgot about vilvam and drank coffee.  That was it.  That evening, the moment her husband entered home, she started throwing up and this time, there was some blood as well.  Shocked by this, the husband took her to doctor again to check for TB.  At the same he was praying “Swami! By mistake she drank coffee while two more days were left to complete the 45 day course.  Please forgive her and save her”.  To his comfort, the Doctor said there was no TB and she was just anemic.

When the husband entered home that evening, he was very surprised to see his wife who was very energetic and sounded very happy.

She narrated “This afternoon, the next door mami came to see me.  It seems after her son’s wedding in Madras, she went to Ilayathangudi to have Periyava’s darshan.  That time, mami told Periyava about my health issues and requested for his blessings.

Listening to her request, Periyava asked “Is she your friend?  Very kind and helpful is it?  Vomitting frequently?  Don’t worry.  She will be alright soon” and gave her prasadam.  Without opening it, mami brought it and gave it to me today.  Can you guess what prasadam could it be?”

Husband said “Is it kalkandu, drakshai, kungumam, vibhuthi”.  “No” replied the wife and she showed him the prasadam.  There were exactly two vilvam leaves which she had forgotten to take.  They both were overwhelmed by the Mahan’s kindness.  Only true Mahans can perform such miracles.

Indeed we are all very lucky and blessed to live at the same time as Periyava.

We are all blessed to have his darshan and listen to his words of wisdom.
