மற்ற வேள்விகளை, இஷ்டிகளை ஒரு ஜீவன், தானே பண்ணுகிறான். ஆனால் செத்துப்போன பிறகு உடம்பை பகவானுக்குக் கொடுக்கிற இந்த அந்திய ‘இஷ்டி’யை அவன் பண்ண முடியாது. மற்ற ஸம்ஸ்காரங்களைப் பண்ணுவதும், பண்ணாததும், அதனால் புண்ய பாபங்களை ஸம்பாதிப்பதும் அந்தந்த ஜீவனுடைய கார்யந்தான். இவற்றில் மற்றவர்களுக்கு பொறுப்பு இல்லை. ஆனால் ப்ரேத ஸம்ஸ்காரம் மற்றவர்களே செய்ய வேண்டியது அல்லவா? அதனால் அதில் பொறுப்பு மற்றவர்களுக்குத்தான். எனவே இதை ஸரியாகச் செய்யாவிட்டால் நமக்குத்தான் பாபம். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
All the other sacrificial offerings in this life are done by a being on his own. But the final sacrifice, where his body is offered to the divine, cannot be performed by him. Whether he performs or not the other prescribed rituals, the consequent good or ill effects are his responsibility. Others are not involved in this any way.
