Experiences with Maha Periyava “Chant this Sloka”
The jewels and money disappeared on its own. The dhotis and sarees tore mysteriously. It was clear that all this was the result of a malevolent force. So the family sought the help of a sorcerer and performed rites of exorcism and penance. It did not help. The head of the family came to Periyava who is the very embodiment of all mantras. Periyava listened to him patiently.
A devotee named Ravi was seated at a distance performing the Lalitha Sahasranama parayanam. With a snap of his fingers, Periyava stopped the reading. Turning to the devotee he said, “Ask him which sloka he is reading now. You may chant it a thousand times”.
The devotee learnt the sloka that Ravi was reading at that moment and chanted it a thousand times. There were no more disturbing events thereafter, such as articles vanishing from the cupboard etc.
It is human nature to be curious about that particular sloka. Of course, each sloka in Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam has immense potential, and they take their time to give results. But if it is to bear fruit at once, the command, “Chant this sloka”, should come from Periyava’s own lips. For, that is the very word of Sri Lalithambika!

It is beyond doubt that what Sri Kanchi Mahaperiyava said is true true and always true. Sri Kanchi Mahaperiyava is always with their devotees. We must worship Sri Kanchi Mahaperiyava in our heart. We don’t need anything not even a glass of water. We need Bhakthi towards our Sath Guru Sri Mahaperiyava. He will always guide us and protect us. Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara.

First of all it is to be understood that periyava has incarnated to guide the world for a good order. And to do so they use some circumstances to guide the devotees to follow what he advises. what ever swamy spells to any devotee, would be an initiation for all the people. Can we do this apachara by saying that bhagavath geeta is only for arjuna to follow and not for anyone as Lord krishna has told this to arjuna only………i feel the same apachara has been committed here.
I hope you looked at the Periyava Quote mentioned in the post. It is a pity we decide to take one thing and completely ignore his other teachings. Rama Rama
