“நைஸ்” இதயத்தால், அதி நைஸ் போர்வை!

சொன்னவர்-ஓர் அன்பர்

பெரியவா வேத பாடசாலை குழந்தைகள் சிலரை தம்முடன் யாத்திரை அழைத்துச் சென்ற போது, நல்ல குளிர் காலம், மலை பிரதேசம் வேறு. ‘Emergency’ கொட்டகையில் இரவு கடுங்குளிராக இருக்கும் என்று எண்ணினார். பழுத்த கனபாடிகளுக்கே வழங்கப்படும் சால்வைகளை, அந்தப் பிஞ்சு வித்யார்த்திகளுக்கே வழங்க செய்தார். அதுகளுக்கு கொள்ளை சந்தோஷம். பாதாள கங்கை சென்றார்.

திடீரென்று அங்கே ஒரு பழுத்த கனபாடிகளே வந்து விட்டார். தரிசனம் முடிந்தவுடன் புறப்பட வேண்டிய அவசரத்தில் இருந்தார். பெரியவா அவரை சன்மானிக்க சால்வை கொண்டு வரச் சொன்னார். மானேஜருக்கோ அந்த குறுகிய நேரத்திற்குள் முகாமுக்கு சால்வை எதுவும் கொண்டு வரவில்லை. சட்டென்று அன்று பாடசாலை பசங்களுக்கு புது சால்வை கொடுத்தது நினைவு வந்தது. எனவே, பெரியவாளிடம் எதுவும் பிரஸ்தாபிக்காமல், காதும் காதும் வைத்தாற் போல் ஒரு பையனிடமிருந்து சால்வையை திரும்ப பெற்று வந்து, கனபாடிகளுக்கு கொடுத்து விட்டார்.

இரவு ஏமாற்றத்துடனேயே கையை காலை முடக்கிக் கொண்டு, அந்தப் பையன் தூங்கிப் போனான். காலையில் எழுந்திருக்கும்போது, அதி சொகுசும், கதகதப்பும் தன்னை ஆற அணைத்திருப்பதால் அதிசயித்தான். அவன் இழந்ததைவிட உயர் ரகமான சால்வை அவன் மீது போர்த்தபட்டிருந்ததே அந்த சுகத்துக்கு காரணம்.

“போர்வை வந்துதாடா?” மனேஜரின் குசலப்ரச்னம் அவனுக்கு உண்மையை புரிய வைத்தது.

கூர்ந்த திருஷ்டி கொண்ட பெரியவா, கனபாடிகளுக்கு கொடுத்த சால்வை, பாடசாலை சிறுவனுடையது என்று கண்டுபிடித்து விட்டார். அதற்குப்பின் மாலை அனுஷ்டானம், இரவு பூஜை, எல்லாம் முடிந்ததும், மானேஜரை கூப்பிட்டு விசாரித்தார். அவர் செய்தது தனக்கு திருப்தி இல்லை என்றும், தன் சகாக்களுக்கு கிடைத்தது தனக்கு தங்கவில்லையே என்று எப்படி அந்த குழந்தை வருந்தும் என்றும் விளக்கினார். விட்டால், எங்கே தன்னுடைய சால்வையையே கொடுத்து விடுவாரோ என்று மானேஜருக்கு கவலை வந்துவிட்டது. எனவே தாம் முந்திக் கொண்டு “எனக்கு போர்த்திக் கொள்ள நல்ல கம்பளி போர்வை இருக்கு. அதையே பையனுக்கு கொடுத்துடறேன்” என்றார்.

“தூங்கிண்டு இருந்தா எழுப்பாதே! நைஸா மேலே போத்திட்டு நீயும் போய் விஸ்ராந்தி பண்ணிக்கோ”.

“நைஸ்” இதயத்தால், அதி நைஸ் போர்வை பாலனுக்கு கிடைத்தது.

Nice Blanket from a Very Nice Heart!

When Shri Maha Periava was in yaathra he also had some of the Vedic children accompany him in the yaathra. At that time, the winter was pretty intense and Sri Periyava felt the ‘emergency’ shelter they had built may not resist the severe cold. He told the Sri Madam Manager to give the Vedic children with a Shawl (blanket) for their comfortable sleep which was kept for Ganapadigal (Senior Vedic Scholar). Children were very happy and Sri Periyava went to Phaadhaala Ganga.

Suddenly one Ganapaadigal (Senior Vedic Scholar) came for Periyava Darshan and was in a hurry to leave after the darshan. Sri Periyava asked the Sri Madam manager to bring a shawl to honor the Vedic scholar. Manager could not find any shawl in that short period of time, but remembered the new shawl given to Vedic students before, so he silently took one blanket from the Vedic child and gave it to Ganabadigal.

The child from whom the shawl was taken from slept in disappointment with his arms and legs crouched together. When he got up in the morning he was surprised by the cozy and comfort feeling around him. He found he had a better blanket (shawl) covered over him than the one he had before, which was cause for coziness. When the manager enquired about his blanket he realized this fact.

Sri Periyava who is very sharp found out that the blanket given to Ganabadigal was taken from one of the Vedic children. After the evening rituals, puja, etc. he called the Sri Madam manager and told him he was not happy with the manager’s action. He also told how the child would have felt bad when other children had blankets. The manager got scared that Sri Periyava will give his own blanket to the child so he hastily said that he has a good blanket which he will give to the Veda child.

Periyava said not to wake up the child if he was sleeping and told the manager to cover him up with the blanket. He also advised the manager to take rest.

The child got a nice blanket from a very ‘Nice’ heart.
