வேதத்தில் காயத்ரீயைப் பற்றிச் சொல்லும் பொழுது, காயத்ரீம் சந்தஸாம் மாதா என்று இருக்கிறது. சந்தஸ் என்பது வேதம். வேத மந்திரங்களுக்கெல்லாம் தாயார் ஸ்தானம் காயத்ரீ என்று இங்கே வேதமே சொல்கிறது. 24 அக்ஷரம் கொண்ட காயத்ரீ மந்திரத்தில் ஒவ்வொன்றும் எட்டெழுத்துக் கொண்ட மூன்று பாதங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. அதனால் அதற்கு ‘த்ரிபதா’ காயத்ரீ என்றே ஒரு பெயர் இருக்கிறது. இந்த ஒவ்வொரு பாதமும் ஒவ்வொரு வேதத்தின் ஸாரம். அதாவது, ரிக், யஜுஸ், ஸாமம் என்ற மூன்று வேதங்களையும் இறுக்கிப் பிழிந்து கொடுத்த essence (ஸாரம்) காயத்ரீ மஹாமந்திரம். அதர்வத்துக்குத் தனி காயத்ரீ இருக்கிறது. இரண்டாவது உபநயனம் செய்து கொண்டே அதை உபதேசம் பெற வேண்டும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
While speaking about this mantra the Vedas use these words: “Gayathrim Chandasam Matha”. “Chandas” means the Vedas. So Gayathri is the mother of all Vedic mantras (that is the Vedas proclaim them so). It has twenty-four aksharas (letters or syllables) and three feet, each foot of eight syllables. That is why the mantra is called “Thripatha Gayathri”. Each foot is the essence of a Veda. Thus Gayathri is the essence of Rigveda, Yajurveda, and Samaveda. The Atharvaveda has its own Gayatri. I am also in a similar position. I have been confirmed with colon cancer stage IV and the doctor feels it may I repeat may have spread to the liver. But my husband and I are following Mahaperiyava s instruction of repeating the 13 sloka of eighth sarg am. We are sure Mahaperiyava will see us through this and a miracle will happen. As of now I have started on Chemo. Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara. Mahaperiyava thou ai.

I just want to share my experience which I had today and hence my first post. Today I had underwent a surgery in the morning to remove a lesion from my breast to check for malignancy. But even before 24 hrs after the surgery here I am able to type this and it is purely and only because of periyava. I couldn’t resist sharing this. I was taken to the OT floor at around 7 a.m and was waiting to be taken to the OT. Though I was showing a brave face to my husband, mom n kids, I was really afraid. And for the past 2 days I was just chanting “Thvameva matha cha” slogan to periva. At 7.30 when they were pushing the strecher towards the OT, I was really very very afraid. I continued my Mantra and closed my eyes. That very instance I could feel kanchi thatha in his dark saffron cloth walking near the strecher besides my head. I could strongly feel HIS presence and fragrance. Just when they wheeled me to the OT, I was so confident that I told the Doctors I could walk to the Operation table and no need to lift me. I know that Kanchi thatha was there through out the procedure which lasted for nearly 90 mins. Though the report would come only after a week, Iam not bothered. I know Periyava would take care of everything.
Sorry I am not sure whether I can post an experience here, but couldn’t sleep without sharing this. ( HE is periva or kapaleesa when I see him with Bhakti, Kanchi thatha if I am afraid or worried. Both ways it is a pleasure to update HIM about my stories)

I got my answers by going through comments of previous post . Thanks for the quote from deivathin Kural. Mahaperiava’s words crystal clearly says ‘NO’..No more place for doubts or questions.
Can women recite gayathri manthram. Has mahaperiavaa commented on this. There are different opinions on this. I will strictly go by what our periavaa has said.
there is nothing to beat gayatri manthra. in modern days it is enough if one recites gayatri and we can say it is equivalent to knowing and reciting vedas. it is gupt (secrecy is maintained)and it should not be recited loudly. the effect is reduced by even lip movements and after sravanam on the day of upanayanam it is a good thing to recite gayatri as mananam so that one get nithidyasanam eventually. i am just an educated illiterate but sangathwa makes me write something so just please please take it on the face value only.
