என்னை ஒரு அஞ்ஞானின்னு சொல்லிட்டார்

periyava fb1

Thanks to Shri T R Ramesh, who is an authority on Tamil Vedas, great devotee of Periyavas and Kanchi matam, for forwarding this article to me….
This appeared in the Sivaji magazine – a magazine on Tamil Literature from
Tiruchirapalli.  Its editor Amarar Tirulokasitaram – a Telugu Brahmin from
Tiruvaiyaru – is a Tamil poet of extraordinary merit – He knew all of Bharati’s songs
by heart.  He served Srimata Chellama Bharati in her old age – as a son would.
Chellamma Bharati breathed her last resting her head on the lap of her new found son
Tirulokasitaram.
See Periyava’s respect for learned people!!! He gives them the most admiration, taking time to admire to others about their knowledge, bakthi etc – none other than our Periyava can do this!

    • Shri Karichan Kunju is from Mannargudi. He has given Upanyasams, though that was not his profession. He used to be a teacher. He has written some short stories in Kalki. All these were 40 years back.

    • It is Sri. Narayanaswamy under his pen Name Karichchaankunju who met Maha Periyava at the Thoppu. His article has first come in Sri. Thiruloka Seetharam’s Tamil literary magazine called Sivaji. and might have been republished in Kalki magazine. Many great writers of the past including Sri. Swaminatha Athreyan have written for Sivaji. It is our misfortune that many of these magazines have become defunct and even existing magazines which carried Maha Periyava’s writings and speeches have changed beyond recognition! Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara!

  4. I am spell bound ! Hara shakara ! Shiva Shiva Shankara !

  5. Great article. Karichchaan Kunju also called Sri. Narayanaswamy was a great scholar, a Tamil teacher, well read in Vedas, also had written many short stories in Tamil. An undercurrent of Marxism used to run in many of his stories. I am greatly surprised that Karichchaankunju had such an experience with Maha Periyava. The experience itself is mind boggling. Common folk like many of us can never hope to reach such status. One easy thing we can do! Surrender totally to Maha Periyava and ask Him to Bless us! Much obliged for the information provided, leading to the article. Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara!

  6. hara hara shankara jaya jaya shankara

  7. Can you please make it readable here itself.
Sri a Sri Sri Sri MAHA PERIYAVAL THUNAI
