கர்நாடகா மகாராஷ்டிரா எல்லைப் பகுதியில் பெரியவா யாத்ரை பண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். ராமதுர்க என்ற கிராமத்தில் உள்ள ஒரு ஆற்றில் வெள்ளம் கரைபுரண்டு ஓடிக் கொண்டிருந்தது. எல்லோரும் ஆனந்தமாக நதியில் ஸ்நானம் பண்ணினார்கள். பெரியவா கரையில் அமர்ந்து ஜபம், அனுஷ்டானங்களை பண்ண தொடங்கினார்.
எல்லாம் முடிந்ததும் அருகில் இருந்த ரெண்டு சிஷ்யர்களை கூப்பிட்டு, ” ரெண்டு பேரும் ஒங்களோட மேல் துண்டை கீழ போடுங்கோடா !” என்றார். யாருக்கும் ஏன்? என்று புரியவில்லை. மிக மிக புதுமையான உத்தரவு! போட்டார்கள். பெரியவா சுற்றி அங்கே இங்கே பார்த்தார்……….மக்கள் நடமாட்டமே இல்லாத அந்தப் பகுதியில் ஒரே ஒரு குட்டிப்பையன் நின்று கொண்டு பெரியவாளை பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான்.
“இந்தாடா……….கொழந்தே! இங்க வா” சைகை பண்ணி அழைத்தார். வந்தான். நதி மேற்கிலிருந்து கிழக்காக இரு கரைகளையும் ஒட்டி அசாத்தியமாக சுழித்து சுழித்து ஓடிக் கொண்டிருந்தது. பெரியவா அந்த குட்டிப்பையனிடம் கன்னடத்தில் ” இ இரடு பட்டகளை ஹத்ர நதி ஓரதல்லி இதாளே…….அந்த யங்குஸ்தர்கடே கொடப்பா! ” [இந்த ரெண்டு வஸ்த்ரங்களையும் அதோ ஆத்தோரம் தெரியற பொண்ணுகிட்ட குடு] என்று சொன்னார்.> > அந்த பையனும் எதிர் கரைக்கு நீந்தி போய், நீருக்குள் மூழ்கி, தலையை மட்டும் வெளியில் வைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்த அந்த பெண்ணிடம் ரெண்டு வஸ்த்ரங்களையும் குடுத்தான். கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒரு மணிநேரத்துக்கும் மேலாக அந்த பெண் அதே நிலையில் அமர்ந்திருந்திருக்கிறாள். பாவம்!
ஆற்றின் சுழிக்கும் வேகத்தில், அவளுடைய வஸ்த்ரங்கள் போயே போய்விட்டன ! எப்படி வெளியே வருவாள் ? வீட்டுக்கு எப்படிப் போவாள்? படிப்பறிவு சற்றும் இல்லையானாலும், பண்பாடு போகவில்லையே அந்த கிராமத்துப் பெண்களுக்கு!
“இந்த சனங்கல்லாம் எப்பத்தான் இந்த எடத்தை விட்டு எழுந்து போவாங்களோ!” என்று மடத்தினரைப் பார்த்து அவள் நொந்து போயிருக்கக்கூடும். யாத்ரையில் வந்தவர்கள் பார்வை நூறடிக்கப்பால் போகவில்லை. அவசியமும் ஏற்படவில்லை. அவளுடைய இக்கட்டான சூழ்நிலை பெரியவாளுக்கு தெரியாமல் யாருக்கு தெரியும்? அந்தர்யாமியில்லையா? த்ரௌபதி “கோவிந்தா” என்று அலறியதும், எங்கோ த்வாரகையில் இருந்தாலும், அவளுடைய அந்தர்யாமியாகவும் இருப்பவன் அவன்தானே! ஓடி வந்து அவள் மானத்தை காப்பாத்தவில்லையா? இந்த பெண் மனஸில் போட்ட ஓலம் கேட்டு, தானே முன்வந்து, அவள் மானத்தை காத்தார். அவள் மேல் துண்டுகளை சுற்றிக் கொண்டு, வெளிய வந்து அங்கிருந்தபடியே ஒரு கும்பிடு போட்டுவிட்டு, வீட்டை நோக்கி போனாள்.

ஸ்ரீ மகேஷுக்கு, ஸ்ரீ ராகவன் பத்மநாபன் அவர்கள் சொல்லுவது போல் இது அத்தனையும் கதையா. படிக்கவே கஷ்டமாக இருக்கிறது. அவர் சொல்லுவதுபோல் சரி பார்த்த பிறகு வெளியிடலாமே என்று எனக்கு தோன்றுகிறது.உங்கள் பதில் தேவை.
First and foremost I am upset with Shri Padmnabhan using words like “stupid” and “silly” on incidents related to Mahaperiyava, when we are not sure if this happened for real or not. He is going to carry a sin of calling those names. I don’t know how old he is – regardless, he needs to tone down. He may be a great devotee – I respect that – but not using good words of choice. It is a pity. Let Mahaperiyava guide him properly.
Secondly, I was not standing by Periyava when this happened nor talked to someone who might have witnessed this..For instance, the incident how Periyava found out His guru’s adishtanam somewhere (forgot the place). How do we know that mirasdar story (most popular one) happened for real? It was not validated by anyone…. Does that mean that everything happened for real? Probably, but twisted a bit – the reason why I say that is there are several articles I’ve read myself with different variations. This is due to condensing the article to fit a page, the magazines do that..Another example is – very popular nowadays – is magazines like Sakthi vikatan gets more dramatical with their writing – “artha pushtiyaaka siriththar” – the author was not standing next to Periyava when this happened – he/she is adding some masala to make it spicier….that does not mean that the incident happened – it is probably spiced up to make it read better….. This is practically impossible to do any validation. Even if I want to do , to whom should I do this? I am open for suggestions….It is easier to ask questions.
Here is my 2 cents – in my opinion, most of the incidents probably happened; heard from someone and expanded/twisted a bit etc. Read it; take the best out of it. If you really need 100% confirmation on each article, then I can’t do that, since you don’t know anything about what I do for living etc. You can go to Kamakoti.org and read experiences posted by famous personalities.
On other point Shri Raghavan mentioned – we are bringing out the transcription of all devotees’ experience as a book…It is a very time-consuming process, but with Periyava’s blessing, it will happen soon.

Better Sri Padmanaban do not read anything from this blog. Let him travel in time to find the truth. When he cannot believe all these things, let him stop reading and stop irritating us too.

You write what ever you gather about periyava. So many things happeded in approximatly 80 years of Periyava life as head of the mutt. Some are hear say. I heard a mami told how her operation was averted after taking the darshan of Periyava. Her faith helped. Who am I to critic that? All saints have done mirecles. We cannot explain them with theory of relativity. There is no need for that. May God forgive the sins of all.
Sri Mahesh, Be assured that I will not venture to make such a posting unless I have taken manaseeka anumathi from Sri Mahaperiyava. Our family’s association with HIM has been since 1940’s and quite a few of us have received Mantropadesa directly from HIM.
The whole differentiator in your blog is the authenticity of the narrations recorded by living persons whose dedication to HIM is evident from the episodes.
This website should be the source for 100% authentic which can inspire all disciples of Sri Mahaperiyava. It should not be clouded or diluted by all the baseless imaginative stories one can find in commercial books and magazines.
Writing sensational stories is the only aim for these magazines and books and as stories they will be gripping and make one shed tears also
But please do not allow these narrations which purely depict miracle-making as though Sri Mahaperiyava was a miracle maker degrade the sublime level which is maintained in this website by the other genuine narrators

Here we go again! Stupid stories concocted by rich imagination! Please do not try to trivialise Sri Mahaperiya’s greatness with such silly stories. Any one of us can write similar or better stories trying to praise Sri Mahaperiyava’s various facets of Kalyana Gunam.
The episodes in the video recordings from senior devotees is solid evidence of Sri Mahaperiyava’s kaarunyam and those accounts are authentic.
We should not entertain the silly fictitious baseless stories and trivialise .
The act of Maha Periyaval establishes that He is God-incarnation.
