A law can easily be enforced against cow slaughter. But if we don’t make proper arrangements to look after the cows which are no longer useful for milking and farming, then they would be made to suffer out of starving and being malnourished. Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – Last month was absolutely berserk with Chettinad govt. farm, X’mas and English new year rescues. By Sri Periyava’s Anugraham and your support, we managed do save 228 precious lives (including 131 from Chettinad govt farm rescued funded by another group).

Now the focus is firmly on Makara Sankaranti/Maatu Pongal, a day of the year when we actually should be showing gratitude to the cows but unfortunately there are people out there who kill Gho Mathas and eat beef on the holy day (including several Hindus). Very sad state, but that is the harsh reality on the ground. Please contribute so we can save as much possible in the next few days between now and Maatu Pongal.

Posting a few pics/video clip below of the last month’s rescue. In the video clip you can see how the Gho Matha gets so scared when the butcher comes near her and we managed to save her before she ended up in his hands. As you also see, many native breed cows are tied up outside slaughterhouses and we managed to rescue them.
