அநாதையாக ஒருவன் செத்துப்போனதாகத் தெரிந்தால், அவன் என்ன ஜாதியாக இருந்தாலும், தீண்டாதவனாக இருந்தாலும், அவனுடைய குலாசாரப்படி, அவனுடைய குலத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களைக் கொண்டு, யதோக்தமாக ஸம்ஸ்காரம் செய்வதற்குப் பொருளுதவி பண்ண வேண்டும். இதற்காகப் பலர் சேர்ந்து பணம் போட்டு மனஸாரப் பணி புரிய வேண்டும். ஏகதேசமாகச் செய்ய சக்தியுள்ள தனிகர்கள் இதைப் பெரிய தர்மம் என்று புரிந்துகொண்டு விசேஷமாக உதவி செய்ய வேண்டும். அநேக தர்ம ஸ்தாபனங்கள், ட்ரஸ்ட்டுகள் நம் ஹிந்து ஸமூஹத்தாரால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. அவர்களும் அநாதை ப்ரேத ஸம்ஸ்காரம் உத்தமமான கைங்கர்யம் என்று ‘ஸ்பெஷல் இன்டரெஸ்ட்’ எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, இதற்காக தாராளமாகப் பொருளுதவி செய்ய வேண்டும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
If we come to know that a person has died as an orphan, we should ensure that the funeral rites are performed according to his traditions, with the help of persons belonging to his community. We should provide sufficient financial help without bothering about his caste or creed. People should wholeheartedly pool money to ensure that the funeral rites are properly carried out. Individuals who can afford it should realize that this is the greatest charity and come forward to perform it.
