  1. So we can clap our hands and show the palm before him? That is -it is ok to make sound is what am inferring from this post. Kindly confirm .

  2. In addition to wiping of the palms in front of Chandikeswarar,there was practice of removing a few threads from the Uthrriyam and placing before him. These threads are said to be combined together and form a wick for the lamp and everybody’s contribution is ensured. Dont know whether still practised in village temples atleast
