Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – The final part of this great chapter. After addressing the rapid decline of Veda Rakshnam and who caused it, Sri Periyava tells the solution for the prevailing situation, viz. return of Brahmins to Veda Adhyananam. HH uses very strong words that is there no need for Guru Peetam or Aacharya position and be a mute spectator when the entire dharma goes for a toss.

பொறுப்பாளி யார்? பரிகாரம் என்ன? (Part 5-Final)

பிராமணனின் தேகம் இந்திரிய சுகத்துக்காக ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறதே அல்ல. அது லோக
க்ஷேமார்த்தமாக வேதத்தை ரக்ஷிப்பதற்கு என்ன நியமங்களை அனுஷ்டானங்களைப் பின்பற்ற வேண்டுமோ அவற்றைச் செய்யவே ஏற்பட்டது. அதில் அதிகப்படியான எந்த போக்ய வஸ்துவும் சேர்க்கக் கூடாது என்பதுதான் அடிப்படை தர்மம். அந்த தர்மத்தை, அதில் உள்ள தியாகப் பண்பை விட்டுவிட்டு, நவீன உபகரணங்களால் சுலபத்தில் கிடைக்கிற சுகங்களுக்கு இவன் ஆசைப்பட்டது அடியோடு தவறுதான். பாதகமான சூழ்நிலையிலும் ஸ்வதர்மத்தை ரட்சிப்பதுதான் பெருமை. அப்படி அவர்கள் செய்யாதது பெரிய தப்பு. அதன் பலனைத்தான் இப்போது ஒரு தாய் வயிற்றுக் குழந்தைகளாக இருந்த நம்மிடையில் வந்துவிட்ட துவேஷ உணர்ச்சியில் அநுபவிக்கிறோம். மற்றவர்களுக்கும் பெரிய கிலேசத்தை உண்டாக்கி விட்டோம். முதலில் பிராமணனுக்கு காலேஜிலே இடமில்லை, வேலையில்லை என்று ஆனதே, பிறகு படிப்படியாக மற்றவர்களுக்கும் அந்தக் கதிதான் என்கிற நிலைக்கு முற்றி இருக்கிறது. மனித சக்தியினாலேயே கிராம வாழ்க்கையை எளிதாக நடத்தியமட்டும் எல்லாம் சரியாயிருந்தது. யந்திர சக்தி, ஆலைத்தொழில் எல்லாம் வந்து, தேவைகளும் ரொம்ப அதிகமாகி, வாழ்க்கையே சிக்கலாகிவிட்ட (Complicated) இன்றைய நிலையில் காலேஜ் அட்மிஷன், வேலை இவற்றுக்கு எல்லோருமே திண்டாடும்படியாகத்தான் ஆகியிருக்கிறது.

“இப்போது என்ன பரிகாரம் (remedy)? பிராமணர்கள் எல்லோரும் இப்போதிருக்கிற வாழ்க்கை முறைகளை விட்டு, அத்யயனத்துக்குத் திரும்புவார்கள் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறீர்களா?” என்று என்னைக் கேட்டால், அப்படி நான் எதிர்பார்க்கிறேனோ இல்லையோ, அது காரிய சாத்தியமாக உங்களுக்குத் தோன்றுகிறதோ இல்லையோ, அவர்கள் இப்படித்தான் செய்தாக வேண்டும் என்றுதான் நான் சொல்ல வேண்டும். நம் மூலதர்மமே பறிபோய்விட்டது என்று வாயை மூடிக் கொண்டு பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதற்கு குரு பீடம், ஆசாரிய ஸ்தானம் எதுவும் இருக்க வேண்டிய அவசியமே இல்லை. முடியாததாகத் தோன்றினாலும்கூட, அப்படிப்பட்ட நல்ல லக்ஷியங்களையும் முடித்துக் காட்ட வேண்டும் என்று சொல்வதற்குத்தான் மதங்கள், மடங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. இந்த லக்ஷியத்துக்குத்தான் அவை தங்கள் பூரண சக்தியையும் செலவழித்துப் பாடுபட வேண்டும். “சத்தியாக்கிரஹத்தால் வெள்ளைக்காரனைப் போகப் பண்ணுவதாவது, இதெல்லாம் நடக்காத காரியம்” என்று சொன்னவர்கள் இருக்கத்தான் செய்தார்கள். நடக்க முடியாது என்று நினைத்த எத்தனையோ இந்த உலகத்தில் நடந்துதான் இருக்கிறது. இது நடக்க முடியாத விஷயம் என்று நினைத்து, தர்மத்தையும் சத்தியத்தையும் விட்டுக் கொடுத்துப் பேசுவது எனக்கான காரியமில்லை. நடத்துவதும் நடத்தாததும் உங்கள் கையில் இருக்கிற விஷயம். நான் செய்யக்கூடியது எல்லாம் நம்முடைய தர்ம சாஸ்திரங்களில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறவைகளை அலுக்காமல் சலிக்காமல் உங்கள் காதில் போடுவதுதான்; சாஸ்திரங்கள் எவற்றை உங்கள் கடமை என்று விதித்திருக்கின்றனவோ அவற்றை உங்களுக்கு எடுத்துச் சொல்லி, எத்தனை பிரதிகூலங்கள் இருந்தாலும் நீங்கள் அதன்படிதான் நடக்கவேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்துவதுதான்.

Who is responsible?  What is the Remedy? (Part 5-Final)

Brahmin’s body has not been created to enjoy physical or sensual pleasures. It’s created to do nithya karmas for protecting vedha rakshana for the benefit of the society. No pleasure giving item should be added in this is the basic dharma. It is basically wrong that he became a slave for the modern gadgets which gave lot of pleasures. It is our pride to observe swadharma even in unpleasant conditions. That is the big mistake they had committed. We are reaping the “fruits of this hateredness” who once lived as the children of one mother’s womb. We created a big fear in the minds of others. What started as “no admission” for brahmins in the colleges and jobs, step by step it spread to others too in a serious way. With the man power, when simple life was led in the villages, everything was in order. On the arrival of machine power,factory work etc,the necessities have increased multi fold resulting in complicated life leading to tough college admissions,seeking jobs and other fields to everybody.

“What is the remedy now?  Do you expect all brahmins to leave their present professions and return to vedha practice?” if the question is asked to me, whether I expect this to happen or not, whether it is practically possible or not, I have to emphatically say that they should only do like this. There is no necessity for a Mutt head, Aacharya peetam to be a mute spectator to watch this closing His mouth. Even if it appears that these are impossible, religions and mutts exist only to see that good impossible deeds are converted in to possible ones”. They have to spend their entire energy only to achieve this goal. There were people who told “it’s impossible to drive out whites” by non-cooperation movement. Many things what people thought cannot be done were done in this world. .  It is not my job to talk sacrificing the subject of dharma and satyam (truth) under the impression that it is impracticable. To achieve it or not is in your hands.  It is my job only to keep on trumpeting in your ears about things told in dharma Sastras. Even if it is having adverse effect, my job is to insist time and again  lecturing the duties laid down in our scriptures (Sastras),  asking you to follow them.
