Annadhanam Appeal – Yamuna Pushkaram In Brindavanam – June 1 to June 13, 2026

With abundant blessings of Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamigal and Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal and under the guidance of Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal and Sri Satya Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamigal, the 10th Pushkaram is being celebrated on the Yamuna River in Madhura district of Uttar Pradesh, at Brindavanam Sri Raghunath Ashram, near Katyayani Devi Mandir. This is the Kataka Rasi Pushkaram celebration where Guru Bhagawan is moving from Mithuna Rasi to Kataka Rasi.

By Sri Periyava Anugraham, on behalf of Smt. Mahalakshmi Mami I’m pleased to invite you to the holy Yamuna Pushkaram that is scheduled to happen from June 1 to June  13. One of the holiest rivers out of the Trinity, it will a great opportunity to attend this rare event. Even if we cannot attend in person, we can consider participating in this event in whatever capacity we can. One such great opportunity is participating in Samaradhanai (Anna Prasadam) where we have the great opportunity to do our bit in this noble seva. The total estimated cost of Annadhanam for the entire 2 week period is Rs. 6 lakhs.

Over the past several years, I have been participating in these rare pushkaram events that comes every 12 years and witnessed the efforts undertaken from close quarters; really cannot stress enough on the importance of this kainkaryam. Lot of Vedic brahmins, Yatrikas, and poor people come to partake the Prasadam offered during this period. Providing food and water during this scorching summer will accrue a ton of Punniyam for our generations to come. Per our Shastras, participating in this holy Yamuna Pushkaram will get rid off Pithru dosha, Naga dosha, Graha dosha, and Paapa Karmas.

In view of the Kataka Rasi Guru Peyarchi, a Shanthi homam is proposed to be conducted on 02- 06- 2026 ( Guru Peyarchi Day) in the yagashala adjoining the Yamuna River, for the benefit of those born in Kataka Rasi – Punarpusam, Poosam and Ayilyam nakshatram .

*1008 guru graha japam

*Homam with offering of peepal tree samith, lemon rice, ghee, kondai kadalai sundal, rice pori and aval ( puffed rice).

*Dampati Puja (Couples)

*Teerthavari

*Bhojana samaradhana to Veda vidwans

*Aseervadam

Persons born in the above mentioned Nakshatrams are requested to participate in the Guru graha shanthi homam. Sankalpam for the homam can be performed in person or over phone.
