I bow in reverence to Jagadguru Sri Satya Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamigal, who incarnated in this sacred land of Bharata to further spread across the entire world the great glory and spiritual radiance of the illustrious Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham—established about 2500 years ago in the sacred Moksha-puri of Kanchi by Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada, an incarnation of Lord Parameshwara—which has continued unbroken to this day, and to protect and uphold Sanatana Dharma.

I bow to Sri Satya Chandrasekharendra Saraswati, who belongs to the unbroken lineage of the Kamakoti tradition; who ever bears in the lotus of his heart boundless, supreme devotion to his revered Sadguru at all times; and who, through his compassionate glance, eradicates from the very root the sorrows of samsara—the cycle of birth and death born of ignorance—as well as the threefold afflictions that torment humanity: the Ādhyātmika, Ādhibhautika, and Ādhidaivika (collectively known as Tāpatraya).

I bow to Sri Satya Chandrasekharendra Saraswati, who has completely renounced the three worldly desires (Eṣaṇā-traya) spoken of in the Upanishads—Putreṣaṇā (desire for progeny), Vitteṣaṇā (desire for wealth), and Lokeṣaṇā (desire for worldly recognition and status); who has duly embraced Sannyāsa, the fourth and highest āśrama of Sanātana Dharma, also known as the Turīya āśrama; who regards the tapas of Ātma-vichāra (self-inquiry) as his supreme wealth; and who shines as an ocean of boundless compassion towards the devotees who seek refuge in him.
