The Glory of the King of Vratas 

 Sanskrit Shloka

व्रतमेवं च य: कुर्यात्पुत्रबान्धववान्भवेत् ॥
विद्यावान्रोगनिर्मुक्त: सुखी गोधनवान्भवेत् ॥
अवैधव्यं च लभते स्त्री कन्या वरमुत्तमम् ॥
विजयं पुष्टिमायुष्यं यच्चान्यदपि वाञ्छितम् ॥
इत्येतद्व्रतमाख्यातं सेतिहासं महर्षय: ॥
श्रुण्वन्नपि नरो भक्त्या सुखमाप्नोति निश्चितम् ॥
निर्मुक्त: स सुखी धीमान् व्रतराजप्रसादत: ॥
वित्तमारोग्यमायुष्यं प्राप्नोति च न संशय: ॥

Meaning:

Upanga Lalita Vrata is the king among all vratas

Whoever observes it with sincerity will be blessed with:

–  Good family
–  Wisdom and knowledge
–  Freedom from disease
–  Comfort and happiness
Women will attain Sowbhagya
Unmarried girls will get good bridegroom
Success in all endeavors
