Road at Ayodhya named after His Holiness Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal
The Mayor of Ayodhya Sri Girish Pati Tripathi today named a road in Ayodhya as Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Maharaj Marg on behalf of Ayodhya Nagar Nigam. The Kanchi Shankar Math branch is located in Pramodvan area and that road has been renamed as ‘Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Maharaj Marg’.
In a brief function held on this event at Shri Kanchi Math, Ayodhya Shakha, the Mayor along with councillors, locals of Ayodhya, Vedic Scholars & Veda Vidyarthis first walked in a procession to inaugurate the plaque and then spoke about Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Swami’s special association & blessings on Ayodhya town & Ayodhya temple movement & its people. Sri Rangan ji participated in the occasion and presided the function. Annaprasadam was distributed on the occasion.
Earlier on August 10th, with the blessings of His Holiness, the 91st Jayanthi of Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal was held in a grand manner with 150 Vaidiks performing Veda Parayanam, Agnihotra Ishtis, Sangeeta Seva & Bhojan Prasad. Vishesh Sanman was extended to persons who do Seva for society. On every Avittam special Pujas are held and Prasadams distributed at hospitals.
The Math was inaugurated in 2006 and renovated in 2023 just before arrival of His Holiness Pujya Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal at Ayodhya for observing Navaratri Anushthanam. The visit of His Holiness on 21st January, 2024 to Ayodhya in connection with Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha rituals to Ayodhya Math is a memorable one.
