22.03.1954 அன்று தமது பிரதம சிஷ்யர் ஆகிய பூஜ்யஸ்ரீ ஜயேந்திர ஸரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள் அவர்களுக்கு ஆச்ரம உபதேசம் அளித்தபோது ஸ்ரீமடம் சிஷ்யர்களுக்கு பூஜ்யஸ்ரீ ஆசார்யாள் அவர்களின் ஆசியுரை:
” எதிர்காலத்தில் இந்தப் பீடத்தை அலங்கரிக்கத்தக்க ஓர் ஸ்வாமிகளுக்குப் புதிதாக ஆச்ரமம் வழங்க ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்து வரும் இச்சமயத்தில் உங்களுக்கும் சில விஷயங்களைச் சொல்ல விரும்புகிறேன்.
தற்காலம் இருந்து வரும் நிலையில் மடத்தின் காரியங்களைச் செவ்வனே நடத்திவருவதற்கு மடத்தின் சொத்தி லிருந்து கிடைக்கும் வருமானம் போதுமானதாக இல்லை. வருமானத்திற்கு மேல் கிட்டத்தட்ட செலவு ஐந்துமடங்காக ஏற்படு கிறது. ஸ்வாமி பூஜை, மற்றும் மதப் பிரசாரம் பற்றிய முக்கியமான செலவுகள்தாம் மடத்தில் செய்யப்படுகின்றன. மடத்தின் வருவாயைக் கொண்டு மாத்திரம் இவைகளைச் செய்யப் போதுமானதாக இல்லை. புதிதாக ஸ்வாமிகளை நியமனம் செய்வது மாத்திரம் போதாது.மடத்தின் காரியங்களும் சரிவர நடந்துவர வசதிகள் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
சாதாரணமாக நான் இவ்விஷயத்தைப்பற்றி உங்கள் முன் பேசியிருக்கவேமாட்டேன். ஆனால், இப்பொழுது ஸ்வாமிகளொருவருக்கு உபதேசம் செய்யப்போவதால் இவ்விஷயத்தை நான் இப்பொழுது உங்கள் முன்னிலையில் அவசியமாகத் தெரிவிக்கவேண்டுமென எனக்குத் தோன்றுகிறது.
இங்கு கூடியிருக்கும் நீங்களும் மற்றும் வெளியிடங்களிலுள்ள பக்தர்களும் மடத்தின் விஷயத்தில் ஆழ்ந்த அபிமானம் வைக்க வேண்டும். ஒவ்வொரு சிஷ்யரும் தம் குடும்பத்தைக் கவனிப்பதுடன், மடத்தையும் தன் குடும்பம் போலவே பாவித்து அவரவர்கள் சக்திக்குத் தக்கவாறு மடத்திற்குத் திரவிய சகாயம் செய்வதெனத் தீர்மானம் செய்துகொள்ளவேண்டும். இக் காலத்தில் குடும்ப சம்ரக்ஷணமே பலருக்குச் சிரமமாக இருக்கலாம். ஆயினும், மடத்திற்குச் சிறிதளவாவது உபகரிக்க வேண்டுமென்று எண்ணம் கொள்ள வேண்டும். மடத்திற்குத் திரவிய சகாயம் செய்வதுடன் சரீரத்தினாலும் சேவை செய்ய நீங்கள் முன்வர வேண்டும்.
மடத்தின் கைங்கரியத்தை நடத்துவதில் இப்பொழுது பலர் சம்பளமெதுவும் எதிர் பாராது இங்குக் காரியங்களைக் கவனித்து வருகிறார்கள். அவர்களில் சிலர் தங்கள் சாப்பாடு முதலியவற்றிற்குக்கூடத் தங்கள் பணத்தையே செலவிட்டுக்கொண்டு மடத்திலேயே தங்கிக் கைங்கரியங்களைச் செய்து வருகின்றனர். அவ்விதம் எல்லோரும் எக்காலத்திலும் செய்ய முடியாவிட்டாலும் வருஷத்தில் சில குறிப்பிட்ட காலத்திற்காவது இங்கு வந்திருந்து அம்மாதிரிச் சேவைகளைச் செய்ய உங்களில் பலர் முன்வரலாம். மடத்திற்குப் பணம் கொடுப்பதைவிட இவ்வித கைங்கரியமே மிகவும் விசேஷ மாகும். கைங்கரியத்தில் ஈடுபட விரும்புவோர் முக்கியமான பிராம்மண தர்மத்தைச் செய்யக்கூடியவர்களாக இருக்க வேண்டும். சந்தியாவந்தனாதி நித்திய கர்மானுஷ்டானங்களையாவது செய்து கொண்டு, சரீர சுத்தியுடனும், மனச் சுத்தியுடனும் அவர்களிருக்க வேண்டும். தற்காலம் பிராம்மணர்களிடையே கர்மானுஷ்டானங்கள் மிகக் குறைந்து வரும் ரீதியைப் பார்த்தால் மடத்தின் கைங் கரியங்களைச் செய்யக்கூட நித்திய கர்மானுஷ்டானம், சிகை, புண்ட்ரம், முதலிய சின்னங்களுள்ளவர்கள் பிற்காலத்தில் எங்கு கிடைக்காமல் போய் விடுவார்களோவென்று அஞ்சவேண்டியிருக்கிறது. அதற்கு நீங்கள் இடம் கொடுக்கலாகாது. ஆகவே, மதானுஷ்டானத்தில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, அதைப் பின்பற்றுவதுடன், மடத்தின் காரியங்கள் நடந்துவருவதிலும் நீங்களெல்லோரும் சிரத்தையுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
குடும்பத்திலொருவராவது மடத்தின் காரியங்களில் ஈடுபடவேண்டும். ஸ்ரீதிரிபுர சுந்தரி ஸமேத ஸ்ரீ சந்திரமௌளீச்வர ஸ்வாமியின் அனுக்ரஹம் உங்களுக்கு எக்காலத்திலும் ஏற்படும்.”

On 22.03.1954, when HIS chief disciple Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji was given Ashram Upadesa, all Sri Mutt disciples blessed to hear the speech of Paramachaarya.
“As we make arrangements to provide a new Ashram to a Swami who will adorn this Peetam in the future, I would like to tell you a few things.
As things stand now, the income from the property of the Mutt is insufficient for the effective management of the affairs of the Mutt. The expenditure is almost fivefold over and above the income. The main expenses incurred in the Mutt are the Swami Puja and the propagation of religion. The income of the Mutt alone was not sufficient to do these things. It is not only to appoint new Swamis but also to improve the situation of the Mutt’s regular, daily activities without any hitches.
Generally, I would never have spoken to you about these. But now that I am going to Sanyasa Diksha to a Swami, it seems to me that I must now mention the matter before you.
You and the devotees who are present here and the devotees outside should have a deep love for the Mutt. Each disciple should look after his family and make a decision to treat the Mutt as his own and contribute to the Mutt according to his capacity. Nowadays family reconciliation may be difficult for many. However, one should think of doing something for the Mutt. In addition to donating money to the Mutt, you should also come forward to serve with your body.
There are now many people who look after the affairs of the Mutt without expecting any remuneration. Some of them even spend their own money on their food etc., and stay in the Mutt and perform their duties. Even if not all of you can do so at any time, many of you may come here at least for a certain period of the year and offer to do such services. This kind of handiwork is more special than giving money to a Mutt. Those who want to engage in Kainkariya should be able to perform the main Brahminical routines. Sandhyavandanam, etc., they should at least perform along with other rituals and remain purified in body and mind. Considering the decreasing number of Karmānuṣṭanas among the Brahmins at present, it seems that Karmanushtana, tuft, religious signs at forehead, etc., will not be available in the future even to perform the rituals of the Mutt. You must not allow that to happen. Therefore, all of you should believe in the Mathaanushthanam and follow it and be interested in the activities of the Mutt.
At least one member of the family should be involved in the affairs of the Mutt. You will always have the blessings of Sri Tripura Sundari Sametha Sri Chandramouleeswara Swamy.”
