There are 3 temples that have uniqueness. Mahaperiyava calls them as Nagaikaronam (Nagapattinam), kachikaronam (Kanchipuram) and kudanthaikaronam (Kumbakonam) – swami in these temples are called kayarohaneswarar – kayam is body and arohanam – getting in swami’s body itself.
Mahaperiyava stayed in the mukthi Mandapam for one of the caturmasams. Listen to the audio to hear in His own voice about the greatness of this kshetram. Ambal is Neelayadakshi – one with blue eyes. The goddess, Neelayadakshi, is the one with the blue eyes. She is in the form of a pubescent girl, and is believed to be one of the Shakti Peethams. She is also considered to be one among the five most important goddesses, all in different stages of life. These are – Visalakshi [Kashi – Child], Kamakshi [Kanchi – young girl], Neelayadakshi [Nagai – pubescent], Kamalambigai [Thiruvarur – young woman] and Meenakshi [Madurai – married woman].
This nagapattinam temple is undergoing kumbabishekam efforts and it is in the last few weeks. Smt Mahalalakshmi mami is coordinating this grand event. Pl contact mami for your participation and support and receive the blessings of swami and ambal.
