Urgent Appeal – Need Funds – Save 35 cows from going for slaughter from Karaikudi Chettinad Govt. Farm on Aug 8′ 24 –

The dreaded Chettinad auction is back and 35 old non yielding cows lives are at stake. After sucking these innocent cows high and dry for several years, the govt farm has decided to show the door who have no place to go except for slaughterhouses. That can change though. If we are willing, a small contribution will save their lives. Per the farm’s book value average cost comes around Rs. 18k per cow including transportation to Dhyan Foundation, Coimbatore which will take around 16 hrs by road after rescue from Karaikuddi. When we posted this kind of an appeal last time, we received some queries from new people. Answering those questions below so people who read this message has utmost clarity.

1. If you are forwarding this message to your contacts please forward all the related messages in its entirety and just not a few. This includes this cover message, Chettinad govt. farms official notice to Dhyan foundation in Tamil, the translated version of it by us, a concise flyer mentioning the cause and contribution options, few pics of the cows to be sold by the farm, and Sri Periyava Kainkaryam WhatsApp group link where all the rescue updates will be posted right from the start of the rescue with datetime stamp till all the way the cows reach Dhyan Foundation, Coimbatore.

2. If someone considers this as a scam, request you to contact me by WhatsApp (Sai Srinivasan +91 8428672622) and we can travel to the Chettinad Govt Farm together on Aug 8 where one can see the rescue operations directly. Alternatively, we can also do live video call as well during rescue operations who are want to see. One can join our WhatsApp group where we have been doing these kind of rescues for the past 9 years.

3. As mentioned in #1 we post all the rescue updates with pics/videos/datetime stamp in the above mentioned WhatsApp group end to end. A summary report will also be posted in mahaperiyavaa.blog which has been operating since 2009.

4. Receipt for the purchase of the cows will be provided by the govt farm with seal and the same will be posted in this group.

5. Admin Charges – There are no other admin charges apart from rescuing the cows. Volunteers who are involved in this rescue effort are deeply passionate about the cause. All transport, food, and other expenses will be borne by them and not even a penny will be taken from your contributions. This goes against the very spirit of Dharma. It is our contribution to do our bit physically and financially for the Gho Mathas welfare.

6. Any excess funds accrued will purely go for the cow rescue from slaughterhouses. I’m sure you all remember we saved several cows with the excess funds we had after the Bakrid rescue efforts.

7. Why does Govt. farm do these kind of auctions? This was the question asked by few to us during past auctions. The reason is money and nothing else. There is a bureaucrat making these kind of decision up the power chain and the govt. farm officials are complying with it. We tried to explain the officials to stop these kind of auctions several times but it is falling in deaf ears.

8. 80G/501(c) tax exemption receipts for INR contributions and USD contributions will be provided.

With this auction, we tried pushing back and kicked the can down the road as much as we can. We are now at a point where we have to buy these cows or they will end up in slaughterhouses. I request you all reading this message to contribute their bit and forward the messages (in its entirely) to as many like minded people possible.
