SAKSHAM – An initiative for Special Children – Know about it & Support

We post several appeals – mostly for yagams, ghosala related etc but this is a very unique appeal. When I heard about what triggered to initiate something like this, my heart stopped beating for few seconds and was in deep shock and couldn’t comprehend the events. Sri GK Ramakrishnan, a Kanchi Matam devotee himself, who is driving this initiative reached out to me sometime back and I spoke to him to understand their goals of providing proper home for those special children, provide healthcare support and treat them as equal as anyone else. These kind of initiatives are the most hardest ones to actually do. I salute the whole team for their noble thought and taking up this noble initiative.

Our appeal is not an ordinary one, as it is for a project underway for the benefit of Special Children of God, (presently for Autism affected & Intellectually challenged, which will, in due course, be extended to serve others affected by Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other forms of mental/neuro/intellectual disabilities) who do not accumulate any fresh karmic baggage in this birth, as they do not scheme and plot with calculative minds to harm anyone in their life’s journey.

The trigger for this project to make Dheemahi a residential therapeutic & vocational training center was the occurrence of three heart wrenching tragic incidents in which the parents with autistic children killed (murders) such children (not wanting to leave them behind alone in an uncaring & unsupportive society) prior to taking their own lives (suicides), due to financial reasons, during Corona.
