Please find the below flyer and the auction notice from Naduvur govt farm below. 48 cows including calves are planned to be auctioned. The deadline is Feb 8, day after tomorrow. We tried our best to push the auction out concurrently looking for a place to keep the cows if were to rescue them. We could not stop or push out the auction as the farm is firm on the date. We found a couple of places to keep the cows (Dhyan Foundation and Anandha Vedashramam in Coimbatore).
If we get the required funds, Viswanathan and myself are planning to leave our work aside to go in person and rescue the cows; expecting some threats to come from local butchers like it happened last time so need to work with local leaders as well.
With less than 48 hours to go we desperately need funds to pay the govt farm and rescue these cows. I request you all to contribute whatever you can as everything will add upto saving these precious lives. Please circulate the flyer around to as many possible so it gets more visibility. Too many things to take care of in a short span of time. Contribution details are below. In the memo, please mention ‘SPK #63, Naduvur Rescue’. Will update the group on the fund status as well as our travel plans.
