Sri Adi Sankara Ashtotram – Clarification

I have been reading a material for Adi Acharya ashtotram – never asked who put together that material. It has Sanskrit, Tamil and English – all together. Tamil version has lots and lots of mistakes. Later I came to know that our Sri Matam follows a version that has some changes to certain namavalis. I never had an opportunity to see that version. Recently when I asked around, I came to know that Veda Dharma Paripalana Sabha has taken some time to call out the variations from what has been written and being followed in our Matam for a very very long time vs some changes that were made. It is important that we stick to the root and follow the tradition. Here is the document with the comparison. Also there is a link on the top of the pdf document that takes you to acharya ashtotram and other guru related contents in many languages. That document is really good for us to do guru puja on any Thursday. In fact yesterday I started the puja and when I came to the ashotram part, all these doubts came to my mind and I reached out to Sri Chandramouli and he sent these links. Big thanks to him for this.

Hope this is helpful.
