Photo from 1960 while Mahaperiyava doing Girivalam in Tiruvannamalai

Thanks to Sri Ramesh Narayanaswamy for the share. Source – Twitter

In 1960s this photo was taken during Giripradikshinam in Thiruvannamalai. Acharya was well above 60 then (67 to be exact).

Only those who’ve had darshan of him during those days can try to explain the bliss they experienced while having his darsanam. Its actually inexplicable. His tapobalam radiated.

Happy Adi Velli to all.

  1. The tattvam that Sri Ramana Maharshi and Sri Periyava are the same Shivam seems to be well illustrated by Sri Periyava himself in this photograph! Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara!

  2. Arumai. Sivame Sivanai Sutrukira kaatchikku koduthuvaithavarkal naam. Mahaperiyava thiruvadi charanam.
