Today, 29 May is the Sanyasa Sweekara Day of HH Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal. It was on this day in 1983 that Pujyashri Acharya received Sanyasa as the 70th Acharya of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam at the young age of 13. Thanks to Sri Matam for these lovely photos.

Another great coincidence of this day is…Shri bala periavaa sanyasa sweekaram day is vaikasi moolam which is the same day when thirugnanasambandhar post his wedding along with the entire village which was present in the wedding merged into lord shiva achalpuram 20 kms fm chidambaram.
