Sri Guruvayurappan mentioned in his FB post that mama showed an old photograph of Mahaperiyava along with him – it would be great if we could get a copy of that too.

Sri Subramanian mama’s Appa Sri Rajagopalan Mama moved to Jamshedpur in 1930 & HH Sri Maha Perivaa camped their place between Dec 1935 & Jan 1936! During that camp Mama’s Appa was blessed to be with HH camp! HH Sri Pudu Perivaa also camped in Jamshedpur & performed Chatur Masyam in 1974. During this camp when one of the devotees mentioned to HH about Subramanian mama & also mentioned his Appa’s time with HH Sri Maha Perivaa camp etc.

HH Sri Pudu Perivaa asked Subramanian mama “ஒங்க அப்பாவை என்னோட அனுப்பறயா?”

HH meant to send his Appa with the camp to Orissa, Andhra & Tamil Nadu! While Subramanian Mama was thinking how to answer as he had to ask his Amma first & then his sister had to get married at that time etc.,

HH said “கல்யாணத்துக்கு எல்லா ஏற்ப்பாடும் பண்ணட்டும், அவர் கல்யாணத்தின் போது வந்துடுவார்”!

What a great Blessing Mama’s family got! Sri Rajagopalan Mama went with HH camp to Orissa, Andhra & to Madras before returning finally to Jamshedpur & his sister also got married immediately!

Mama’s Appa’s main jobs were taking care of the cattle, horse & checking the depth & surface of the steps (before HH gets into water) whenever & wherever HH went for bath outside. What a Blessing! HH used to call Mama’s Appa as GoRashaka Gopal!

Subramanian Mama told that in Jamshedpur HH Sri Pudu Perivaa took Sloka class to young kids! Mama also narrated his challenging but amazing experiences how from a very old cassette tape (of the recording of HH Sloka Class) to a pen drive for the benefit of all! Hearing HH voice of 70’s is very similar to seeing old photographs! Do not miss to listen to both the audios – how blessed are those children who learnt from Jagadguru. Also in the second audio Periyava sings some stuthis – how sweet His voice is. Pudhu Periyava’s mastery over so many things continue to amaze me – be it veda, vedanta, agama, languages, music, photography, poetry – there is no end to that list! Saraswathi svaroopam! We are truly blessed to have lived in the same era of Periyava!

It is a divine coincidence that exactly 50 years back on the same date he attended Vyasa puja Mahaperiyava did in Jamshedpur!
