எதிரிடையாகத் தோன்றுகிறவையும் பசுவிடத்தில் ஒன்று சேர்கின்றன. ரக்த ஸமானமான அதன் க்ஷீரம் புத்தியைக் கெடுப்பதற்குப் பதில் சுத்தப்படுத்துவதைச் சொன்னேன்; உடம்புக்கு சக்தியைக் கொடுப்பதே உள்ளத்துக்கும் சுத்தி தருவதைச் சொன்னேன். இதைவிடவும் எதிரிடையான இன்னொன்று, அதனுடைய கழிவுப் பொருளான கோமயம் என்கிற சாணமும் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துவதுதான். அது உடம்பு, உள்ளம் இரண்டையும் சுத்தி செய்வதாக இருக்கிறது. கழிவுப் பொருளான மலம்தான் பொதுவில் மிகவும் அசுத்தமானதாக இருப்பது; நோய் நொடிகளைப் பரப்புவது; பரம துர்கந்தமாகவும் இருப்பது. அதை உடனேயே தேய்த்து அலம்பி சுத்தம் செய்வோம். ஆனால் கோவின் மலமோ மற்ற மலங்களையும், ஏனைய அசுத்தங்களையும் போக்குவதாக இருக்கிறது; நோய்க்கிருமிகளை அழிப்பதாக இருக்கிறது. அது துர்கந்தமும் வீசுவதில்லை. அதற்குப் பவித்ரமான, ஆரோக்யமான ஒரு தினுஸு மணம் இருக்கிறது. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்

Even those factors which appear contradictory tend to exist in unison in the cow. I spoke about how its milk which is equivalent to its blood, cleanses the intellect instead of corrupting it; also about how that which gives strength for the body offers purity of the mind too. Even more a contradictory factor is that its excretion namely Ghomayam or Chaanam (cow dung) itself serves as a purifying agent. It happens to cleanse both our body as well as the mind. In general excreta happen to be the most impure thing on earth; it spreads diseases; and remains extremely foul-smelling also. We immediately wipe it off thoroughly and clean the place where it is found. Whereas, the excretion of the cow happens to remove all other excretions and impurities; tends to destroy the disease- spreading germs. It doesn’t give out a foul odor either. Especially in Tamizhnadu, the place where I live (Sholinganallur) there are as many as 20+ slaughterhouses that operate daily.
