இப்போதிருக்கிற துவேஷம், மனக்கசப்பு, கோபதாபங்கள் போக வேண்டுமானால், வேத ரக்ஷணம் என்கிற கடமையைப் பெற்றவர்கள் அதைச் செய்து, ஸாதுக்களாக, சாந்தர்களாக வாழ்ந்து காட்ட வேண்டும். இதன் பலன் மற்றவர்களுக்கு உடனே புரியாமல் போகலாம். ஹர்த்தால் வந்து கடைகளை மூடினால் உடனே சிரமம் தெரிகிற மாதிரி, வேத ரக்ஷணம் நிற்பதனால் ஏற்படும் சிரமம் சமூகத்திற்குப் தெரியாமல் போகலாம். ஆனால் உண்மையில் இது நின்று போவதால் ஏற்படுகிற நஷ்டமே பெரிசு. இது நாளாவட்டத்தில் புரிந்து விடும். வேத ரக்ஷணத்துக்காக என்றே சிலர் ஆயுசை அர்ப்பணித்து வாழ்வதில் பெரிய சமூகப் பிரயோஜனம் இருக்கிறது என்று எல்லாரும் காலப்போக்கில் உணர்வார்கள். கடமையில் பின்வாங்காமலே நின்றால், ஒரு நாள் இப்போது எத்தனைக்கெத்தனை துவேஷம் இருக்கிறதோ, அத்தனைக்கத்தனை பிரீதி உண்டாகத்தான் செய்யும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்

To ward off enmity, distress, and anger prevailing now, those duty bound to protect Vedas should perform their duty and  be a living example of saintly hood and peace. Its effect may not be seen immediately. The disadvantages of discontinuing Veda Rakshanam  are not visible like difficulties faced in Hartal when shops get closed. Actually the loss of this is much more. This will be realized only in due course. The benefit accrued to the society due to the total lifetime dedication of some will be known later on. If one adheres to Swadharma one day there would be as much amiability as that of animosity prevailing now. –
