Deepawali kainkaryams are done by several astika friends across Tamilnadu annually. However, I am associated with a good friend of mine Halasya Sri Sundaram Iyer and his friends. This group has been silently doing this kainkaryam in a small way for quite some time. Take some time to encourage this team for doing this….They are not backed by any major donors etc – they struggle to get funds to do this but they dont give up – very committed. Although I have been shared with the updates regularly by Sundaram, due to my work commitments etc, I could not post things on time.
Today somehow I found few minutes to share these wonderful photos, videos of their effort. This team not only does this kainkaryam but also other temple renovation related work.
Sundaram keeps me posted regularly on deserving vedapatasalas for support. With his introduction we supported Melattur Patasala for several years, supporting Hyderabad Patasala etc.
It is absolutely delightful to see these wonderful vidyarthis – they are the future of our sanatana dharma…One of these children would be tomorrow’s Mullaivasal Ganapadigal mam or any other veda/vedanta/dharma sastra jambhavans. One should have done punyams to do such kainkaryams and earn Periyavas’ blessings by doing these kainkaryams.
Sundaram and his team – Hats off to you all for doing this wonderful kainkaryam that is close to Periyava’s heart. Keep doing this – we will do my best to support you all.

சில வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு திரு.சுந்தரம் ஐயரை முகனூலில் அசிங்கப்படுத்தினார்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும். இருப்பினும் அவர் மனம் தளராமல் இன்னும் வேதபாடசாலை கைங்கர்யங்கள் தொடர்ந்து செய்து கொண்டு வருகிறார். பெரியவா அனுக்ரஹம் இல்லாமல் இது நடக்க சாத்தியமில்லை. சுந்தரம் ஐயர் குழுவுக்கு எங்கள் சாஷ்டாங்க நமஸ்காரங்கள். க்ஷீணமடைந்து இருக்கும் பல கோவில்களுக்கு இன்றும் பலரிடம் பவதி பிச்சாந்தேஹி கேட்டு பண்ணிக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறார். வரும் ஜனவரியில் திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டம் வசூர் என்ற கிராமத்தில் இருக்கும் 1500 வருடங்களை கடந்த திருவேகமுடையார் ஆலய கும்பாபிஷேகத்தை அவரும் அவர் குழுவும் முன்னின்று நடத்த இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை இந்த நேரத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். கிட்டத்தட்ட 10க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பழைய காலத்து சிவாலயங்களுக்கும் இரண்டு பெருமாள் கோவிலுக்கும் இவர் மூலம் விளக்கேற்ற எண்ணெய் சென்று கொண்டிருக்கிறது. பெரியவா சரணம். ஜய ஜய சங்கர ஹர ஹர சங்கர காஞ்சி சங்கர காமகோடி சங்கர.
