Thanks Ambi for the share. Looks like this came back in 70s – I am guessing. Periyava gives a beautiful blueprint of how to lay the foundation for next generations. I still remember several of His upadesams were followed in my place where I grew up. In today’s situation, while money is not the issue to build a temple or school etc, getting the next generation early in their life to adopt to these is the huge challenge – applies to vedapatasala also. I still remember few years back Sri (Bala)Periyava was telling someone that “Patasala irukku ….kuzhandhaikalthaan illa”.

Those who study in Veda Paatashaalas must be able to aspire for material wealth and happiness too. Then only a lot of students will come foward to join Vedic schools to study scriptures like Agamas and Stotras. Periyavah Saranam
