ஸ்கூல் வைப்பது, ஆஸ்பத்திரி கட்டுவது, ஜல வஸதி பண்ணித் தருவது எல்லாம் ஸர்வீஸ்தான். நாம் ஸோஷல் ஸர்வீஸ்-ஸமூஹப் பணி-என்றாலே இதுகளைத்தான் நினைக்கிறோம். ஆனால் இந்தப் பணியெல்லாம் இறைபணியில் கொண்டு சேர்த்தால்தான் நிறைவுள்ளதாகும் என்று நமக்குப் புரிய வைக்கிறதற்காகத்தான் ஈஸ்வர ஸம்பந்தமான பணிக்கே ‘திரு’ என்று அடைமொழி கொடுத்து ‘திருப்பணி’ என்று பேர் வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள். ‘திருப்பணி’ என்கிற வார்த்தை எல்லா ஸர்வீஸுக்கும் உச்சி அதுதான் என்று அர்த்தம் கொடுக்கிறது. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்

Constructing a school, building a hospital, and providing water facility constitute service. We are under the mistaken impression that this is what social service is about. Unless these services lead to the divine service, they cannot be complete. To make us understand this indisputable fact, the prefix “Thiru” (denoting the special, the great) has been added to the word pani (task) in Tamizh, when talking about service to a temple. Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – With many of the ancient temples managed by HR&CE closed during the weekends due to Covid, lot of temples and priests (Bhattars) are struggling to run their families and also take care of the day to day operations of the temples. Through Sri Periyava Kainkaryam we were able to support the following ancient Perumal and Divya desams temple Bhattars. Posting a few pictures below and the complete set of pictures along with receipts have been uploaded in the link below.

For temple 1, here are the items we offered –

Ghee, Badam, dry grapes, kalkandu, Sambrani, Elakkai, Lavangam, Rice, Gingelly Oil

For temples 2 to 8, we offered 25 kg pack of rice.
