Annadhanam Appeal for Bheema Pushkaram (Nov 21 to Dec 2)

Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara –

On behalf of Smt. Mahalakshmi Mami I’m posting this Annadhanam done to all the devotees during Bheema Pushkaram from Nov 21 to Dec 2. I have been blessed to attend the last few pushkarams and have see the great importance of this kainkarayam where several devotees (many financially poor) come thronging to take part in the auspicious occasion. The entire two weeks will be filled with a lot of activities including doing many Homams, Pujas, and Aarthi to the sacred rivers. Many a times you long for getting a decent meal and that is when I personally realized and felt the importance of this kainkaryam. As you could imagine it is a mammoth task to organize these festivals with so many things to take of. I request you all to consider contributing your little bit for this noble cause which will help feed a lot of Bhagawathars and Sivanadiyars. Currently Mami is shortage of funds in this area and your helping hand will go a long way in this initiative.

  1. I have sent Rs.10000 towards Anna dhanam Bheema Pushkaram by gpayt to sri.Raghuraman on Sept 12,2021.I have not received any confirmation acknowledgement.

  2. Many transliteration mistakes to be set right.

Especially in the Sanskritised Tamil Slokas…

When Jupiter enters into Pisces (Meena) the river Prāna Hitha gets energised.

Prāna is vital air and Hitha means soothing/ gives comfort…

    This river is in Telangana.
Kaleswar is the holy pilgrim centre where Prānahitha confluences with Godavari

  3. Himachal Pradesh provides water to both the Indus and Ganges basins. The drainage systems of the region are the Chandra Bhaga or the Chenab, the Ravi, the Beas, the Sutlej and the Yamuna.

By mistake, Chandra bhaga (Chenab) flowing in Himachal Pradesh might have been identified with Chandra bhaga (Bhima) of Maharashtra.

Different rivers by the same name flows in our holy country say for example Gomathy… One which confluences with Arabian sea in Dwaraka, Second tributory to Holy ganges in UP, Third flows in Tripura NE india.

Hence, In lieu of Sindhu to read as Bhima is misinterpreted version and lacking substantial evidence of scriptural injunctions.

To celebrate kumbha pushkar we are supposed to mark our presence in any one of the tributory of River Indus flowing in HP.

    Rama Rama
