So praying Her will protect us from all enemies and destroy them. Who are the enemies? Our own bad thoughts, our own mind that works against us in spiritual progress. There are lots of tatvartam in all the weapons She carries. In Bhandasura vadham, She plays a major role. Besides, puranic importance, She is a moksha pradayini. Let us pray Her all these 9-days with utmost devotion to bless us all with moksha.

Read Her ashtotram, stutis, ahtakam etc and do not try mula mantra japam etc – they need initiation.
