Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – Amidst the raging pandemic and all the hoopla around it, the Maha Kumbabishekam of Thaiyalnayagi Swami Samedha Vaidyanatha Swami was completed successfully on April 27. There were tight security measures and general public was not allowed in the temple for the last several days including the Maha Kumbabishekam day. In fact, on April 27 the small town went into a total curfew with a total of only 400 people (including Sivachariyars, temple staff, media, etc.) attending the grand event amidst tight security. Adiyen was one of the very blessed and privileged to participate in this rare event courtesy Smt. Mahalakshmi Mami who was after me to attend this event. I do not have any superlatives to describe her effort in organizing this mega event and also taking care of her entourage with great attention. There are way too many things to take care including conducting the Ashta Kaala Puja in the Yaagasala with over 100+ homa kundams. Let’s pray to Sri Periyava so Mami can conduct many more Kumbabishekams like this. Let’s pray to Lord Vaidyanatha and Ambal to shower their grace and the current crisis that the world is facing now.
