ப்ரத்யக்ஷத்தில் நமக்குப் போஷாக்கு மிகுந்த பாலைக் கொடுத்தும், இன்னும் எத்தனையோ விதங்களிலும் பயன்களைத் தருகிற கோவே அப்ரத்யக்ஷத்திலும் அதைவிட ஜாஸ்தியான பயன்களைத் தருகிறது. ப்ரத்யக்ஷம் என்பதை லௌகிகம் என்றும் அப்ரத்யக்ஷத்தை அலௌகிகம் என்றும் சொல்வது. அலௌகிகம் என்பதை விட தெய்விகம் என்றும் ஆத்மிகம் என்றும் சொன்னாலே இக்காலத்தில் புரியும். வாஸ்தவத்தில் அதை வைதிகம் என்றே சொல்ல வேண்டும். ஏனென்றால் வேதம் காட்டிக் கொடுக்காவிட்டால் நமக்கு தெய்வத்தையும் தெரியாது, ஆத்மாவையும் தெரியாது. தெய்விகம், ஆத்மிகம் எல்லாம் வைதிகம்தான். நேராக நம்முடைய இந்த்ரியங்களுக்கு அகப்படக் கூடியதாகவும், விஞ்ஞான பூர்வமாக நிரூபித்துக் கொள்ள முடிவதாகவும் இருப்பது லௌகிகம். அப்படியில்லாமல், ஆனால் ஆத்மாவுக்கு நல்லது செய்வதாக இருப்பது வைதிகம். இந்த இரண்டிலும் பசுவின் பெருமையைப் பார்க்கிறோம். ஒரு பசுவிடம் லௌகிகமாகச் சிறப்புப் பொருந்தியதாக இருக்கும் விஷயங்களிலேயேகூட வைதிகச் சிறப்பையும் பார்க்கிறோம் – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்

The same cow which offers us visible and apparent benefits (Prathyaksham) by giving us milk with so much nutrition and other innumerable good things, offers even more benefits which are non-apparent and invisible (Aprathyaksham) too. Prathyaksham (visible) is called as Loukeekam (worldly) and Aprathyaksham (latent or invisible) is called Aloukeekam (Heavenly). In present times Aloukeekam is better understood if it is called as Dheiveekam (Divine) or Aathmeekam (Spiritual). In fact it should be referred to as only Vaidheekam. This is because if only the Vedas didn’t show us the light, we would’ve come to know neither God nor Athma. Therefore Dheiveekam, Aathmeekam and everything are nothing but Vaidheekam. Loukeekam is that which can be comprehended directly by our senses and can be proved and established scientifically. Being otherwise but at the same time doing good for our Athma is Vaidheekam. We can witness the greatness of the cow in both these categories. We can observe in a cow as to how those aspects which are great in worldly terms themselves contain spiritual significance too. – Jagadguru Chandrasekharendra Saraswathy Swamigal

By Periyava Anugraham we could save 366 cows/calves/Rishabams last month from various places including cattle markets where they were saved before being boarded to Kerala.
