Today is a very significant day that after several years of so many hurdles put by the previous CM (JJ) and other external entities our Sri Periyava visited Sri Rameswaram Temple and did puja to both swami and ambal by Himself. Sri Kanchi Matam has rights to do this in certain temples and Rameswaram was one of them. It is swami and Amal’s anugraham via previous acharyas that this was done successfully.In fact Sri Periyava planned to do this trip in Feb ‘2020 and right before He was about to start govt implemented shutdown(I did post about this and the reason why Periyava chose Thenambakkam etc). There are several devotees who are responsible for this to happen. I know Sri B Ganapathisubramanian is one of those few core devotees.

Rameswaram & Sringeri Mutt – The Unique Bandham ( Written for the sake of Younger Generation)
1. For the sake of Humanity, Adi Shankara had laid out Traditions, Customs & Practices in various temples across India.
2. The Constitution of India, under Article 25, has ascribed a unique status to these traditions, customs and practices as Essential Religious Practices conferring them a Constitional Status, besides Guaranteeing them as Fundamental Rights.
3. Sanatana Dharma is a duty based life and not a right based society.
4. Every Advaithee has a duty to protect this Dharma preserve, propogate,practice and nurture every Essential Religious Practice more importantly in Temples.
5. Adi Shankara while establishing the 4 Amnaya Mutts had enshrined Protocols and prescribed Kshetrams all of which are found in Matamnayam, a text followed whenever needed by the Indian Courts.
6. Any deviation from these Divine Protocols would become a breach of the traditions set out by Adi Shankara and a violation of the Constitution and therefore do not provide or create any rights. The Constitution Bench Judgments of the Supreme Court have time and again reiterated this position.
7. Adi Shankara has Blessed Rameswaram as The Kshetram for the Avichinna Guru Parampara of Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Saradha Peetam.
8. The Divine significance and connect between Rameswaram and Sringeri Mutt has several proofs, and one of the visible testimony is first stone temple built in Sringeri in 1338, the world famous Vidya Shankara Temple.
9. Those who go to Sringeri may kindly see the south eastern wall of the temple. The 9th idol in the row portrays Bhagawan Sri Rama, Mata Seetha and Lakshmana doing pooja to The Divine Sivalinga Ramanathaswamy. The south eastern direction indicating the Agnikarai where Rameswarm is situated. One can also see Hanuman as one of the Dvara Balakas at the Vidya Shankara Temple.
10. Adi Shankara has laid down an imperishable tradition and prescription as to who should do pooja to the Ramanathaswamy at Rameswaram.
11. The Kings of Nepal acquire it through their births. The Avichinna Guru Parampara of the Sringeri Mutt gets it through Divine Ordainment, passed on by one Guru to the other as an unbroken lineage. The Gurukals or Archakas hailing from a particular community and who can be initiated only by the Acharyals of Sringeri Mutt. This is the tradition set out by Adi Shankara and an Essential Religious Practice of Rameswaram Temple, a Fundamental Right guaranteed under Art 25 of the Constitution.
12. Adi Shankara has ordained every Acharyal of this Peetam to go on Vijaya Yatra to Rameswaran and also perform Kumbhabhisekham whenever the auspicious occasion arise.
13. It is a time immemorial tradition to offer Milk and Chandana Abhisekham for the Spatika Lingam at the Sanctum Sanctorum of Bhagawan Ramanathaswamy every early morning at 5 am.
14. News broke out that this Spatika Lingam got damaged on Monday (22nd February 2021). Information was placed at the Lotus Feet of Acharyals and also conveyed to the Administrator on tuesday morning.
15. Acharyals Blessed a New Spatika Lingam and Lord Shiva commenced HIS journey from Sringeri on Tuesday afternoon along with our Mutt Pandits. They reached Rameswaram yesterday (wednesday) morning at 8.30 am.
16. Lord Shiva was taken on a Veedi Ula along with Mangala Vadhyam and Veda Gosham from Sringeri Mutt Branch to the Ramanathaswamy Swami temple.
17. Traditional Poojas and Homams were performed at the temple premises and the Spatika Lingam reached the Abode of Ramanathaswamy Temple yesteday night.
18. What happened between Tuesday morning and wednesday night is Sheer Divine Providence and the Divya Anugraham of our Acharyals an impossibility turning out to be the Vision of Truth.
19. Devotees should be ever thankful to our Administrator Dr.V.R.Gowrishankar for the untiring efforts taken in this regard. We also sincerely acknowledge the selfless efforts of Ramco Sri Venkataraman Raju who was Blessed as the chosen tool of Acharyals for this Divine task. Our thanks are also due to our Sishyas from Madurai and Tirupur for staying put at Rameswaram along with the Sringeri Team and complete the religious rituals.
20. Two leading writers of the Mutt from South Tamil Nadu has made a Sankalpam to write and bring out a book on the Exclusive and Divine Connect between Sringeri Mutt and Rameswaram and the rich imperishable traditions Blessed by Adi Shankara.

We thank God for His Mercy & Compassion, to our parents, to our Guru. To be “ever” thankful to one Dr V.R. Gowrishankar because of what??? IMHO this seems like misplaced servitutde which doesn’t serve a good purpose

One year back Sringeri Sri Jagatguru Vidhushekara Bharathi had undertaken Vijay Yatra in Maharashtra. He performed pooja in all the temples he visited. In Sankara T.V they are showing his pooja. It is very sad to note that In T.N Pujyasri Shankaracharya of Kamakoti was facing hurdles to perform pooja in temples.

ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் உள்ள ஜோதிலிங்கம் வீபீஷ ணனால் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டது. இந்த லிங்கத்தின் பின்புறம் கற்பூர ஆரத்தி காண்பித்தால் முன்புறம் அந்த ஜோதியை விளக்கின் இளஞ்சிவப்பு நிறத்தை அப்படியே காணலாம்.
ராமேஸ்வரம் கோவிலில் உள்ள அதிகார நந்தி வாகனம், விக்கிரகம், உற்சவர் ஆகிய மூன்று சிறப்புகளையும் பெற்று இருப்பது வேறு கோவில்களில் இல்லாத சிறப்பு. அதிலும் இந்த நந்தி வாகனம் முழுவதும் பொன்னாலானது.
பஞ்ச மூர்த்திகள் புறப்பாட்டின் பொழுது நந்தி தேவர், சுவாமிக்குப் புறங்காட்டாமல் சுவாமிக்குப் பின்புறமாக சுவாமியை முன்னோக்கியவாறு செல்வது இங்கு மரபு.
கோவிலின் முதல் பிரகாரத்தில் 144 விக்கிரகங்களும் இரண்டாம் பிரகாரத்தில் 17 விக்கிரகங்களும் பூஜைக்காக பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. இவை தவிர கோவிலில் உள்ள 381 விக்கிரகங்களுக்கும் நாள் தோறும் பூஜை நடத்தப்படுகிறது.
பாரத நாட்டின் மிகுந்த புனிதத் தலங்களாக நான்கு தலங்கள் மட்டும் கருதப்படுகின்றன. அவற்றுள் ஒன்று ராம்நாத் என்ற ராமேசுவரம் எஞ்சிய மூன்று தலங்களும் வட நாட்டில் அமைந்து இருப்பன. இவை துவாரகநாத், பத்ரிநாத், கேதாரிநாத் என்ற வைணவத் தலங்கள்..
செதுக்கி மெருகிடப்பட்ட ஒருவகைக் கருப்புக் கல்லால் கருவறை கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இக்கோவிலுள்ள நந்தி வேலைபாடுமிக்க சுதையினாலான பெரிய உருவமுடையதாகும். இந்நந்தி 23 அடி நீளம், 12 அடி அகலம், 17 அடி உயரம் உடையதாக விளங்குகின்றது.
மூன்றாம் பிரகாரத்திலிருக்கும் ராமலிங்கப் பிரதிஷ்டை உருவங்கள் தத்ரூபமாக காட்சியளிக்கின்றன. அவ்வுருவங்கள் உயிருள்ளவை போன்றே விளங்குகின்றன.
அனுப்புமண்டபம், சுக்கிர வார மண்டபம், திருக்கல்யாண மண்டபம் ஆகியவை விசாலமாகவும் காற்றோட்டம் மிக்கவையாகவும் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளமை தனிச்சிறப்புடையது.
.கோவிலில் உள்ள உலோகத்தினால் செய்யப் பட்ட குதிரைச்சொக்கர் உருவம் மிகவும் கம்பீரமாக கலைத்திறன் மிக்கதாக காணப்படுகிறது.
தலம், தீர்த்தம், மூர்த்தி என்ற முப்பெரும் சிறப்புக்களை உடையது ராமேஸ்வரம்.
ராமேஸ்வரம் ராமநாதர் கோவில் ராமபிரானால் எழுப்பப்பட்ட பெருமையுடையது.
காசி யாத்திரை சென்றவர்கள், ராமேஸ்வரத்திற்கு சென்று தனுஷ்கோடியில் தீர்த்தமாடி ராமேஸ்வர லிங்கத்தை வழிபட்டால் தான் அக்காசியாத்திரை முழுமை பெறும் என்பது இந்து சமயத்தவரின் கொள்கை- நம்பிக்கை.

ராமேஸ்வர சேதுக்கடல் தீர்த்தம் 2 லட்சம் மைல் சுற்றி, சுழன்று வருவதாக விஞ்ஞானிகள் கணித்துள்ளனர்.
அமாவாசை, பவுர்ணமி நாட்களில் கடலின் கீழ் உள்ள மூலிகைகள் கடல் மேல் மட்டத்துக்கு வந்து சேது கரையில் மட்டுமே ஒதுங்குவதையும் விஞ்ஞானிகள் உறுதிபடுத்தியுள்ளனர்.
கயிலாய மலையில் உள்ள மானசரோவர் தீர்த்தமும், சேது தீர்த்தமும் தனுஷ் கோடியில் சங்கமம் ஆவதாக நம் முன்னோர்கள் குறிப்புகள் எழுதி வைத்துள்ளனர்.
ராமேசுவரம் கோவிலில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு தீர்த்தத்திலும் ஜீவ சத்துக்கள், மின் காந்த அலைகள் உள்ளன. தீர்த்தம் உங்கள் தலையில் நன்கு பட்டால்தான் அந்த சக்திகளை நீங்கள் முழுமையாக பெற முடியும்.
ராமேசுவரம் கோவிலில் ஒரே சங்கினுள் அடுத்தடுத்து இரு சங்குகளை கொண்ட தெய்வீக திரிசங்கு உள்ளது.
ராமநாதருக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்வதற்காகவே இத்தலத்தில் பிரத்யேகமாக 1008 அபிஷேகச் சங்குகள் உள்ளன.
ராமேசுவரம் கோவிலில் முழுக்க, முழுக்க மூலிகைகளால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட புதுமையான ஒரு லிங்கம் உள்ளது. இந்த லிங்கத்துக்கு வைணலிங்கம் என்றுபெயர்.
ராமேசுவரம் மூலவரை தொட்டு பூஜை செய்யும் உரிமை காஞ்சி பெரியவர், சிருங்கேரி மகா சன்னிதானம்,நேபாள நாட்டு மன்னர் ஆகிய 3 பேருக்கும் மட்டுமே உண்டு.
ராமபிரான் சூரிய குலத்தை சேர்ந்தவர். அந்த குலத்தின் நேரடி வாரிசாக நேபாள மன்னர் குடும்பம் கருதப்படுகிறது. எனவே நேபாள மன்னர்களின் குல தெய்வமாக ராமேசுவரம் தலம் திகழ்கிறது.
ராமேஸ்வரம் ஆலயத்துக்குள் பூஜை செய்யும் ஒவ்வொருவரும் சிருங்கேரி மகா சன்னிதானத்திடம் சிவாச்சாரிய தீட்சை பெற்றவர்கள் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
ராமேசுவரம் தலத்தில் மனம் உருகி வழிபட்டால் புத்திரபேறு, நாகதோஷம் நிவர்த்தி இரண்டையும் உறுதியாகப் பெறலாம்.
ராமேசுவரம் தலம் தோன்றி 10 சதுர்யுகம் ஆகிறது என்கிறது ஒரு குறிப்பு. அதன்படி கணக்கிட்டால் ராமேஸ்வரம் கோவில் தோன்றி சுமார் 4கோடி ஆண்டுகள் ஆகிறது.
