I got the news late evening that Sri Pattu Sastrigal passed away last night in Chennai. As we all aware, he was the last person to see Mahaperiyava before Periyava left His sareera. He did namaskaram to Periyava in the morning and took the bus to return to Chennai and when he got down from the bus he came to know that Periyava left His sareera. Mama could not even bear the news as his bakthi was that strong and he was that close to Periyava – he slapped the person who told this news to him. Also he has been doing anusham puja in a very grand manner in W.Mambalam for more than 2 decades. Staunch devotee and spent so much time with Periyava,
