(I have never seen this beautiful photo of Swamigal before – sitting like an emperor!)
Om Sri Gurubhyo Namaha!
This is a little longer post – please read it fully!
About 15 years back when I was buying some spiritual books in Giri Traders, I saw a book published by Vikatan titled something like “Mahangal Varisayil Sri Seshadri Swamigal” – they actually published a series of books on all Mahans…I finished reading that book in one single reading. It was the most amazing life story of a saint that we know very little about. I even posted all his golden teachings in this site long back and unfortunately, this image has been deleted accidentally. I will repost them soon. Only Tamilnadu people are the most blessed people who lived in that period to have many great saints at the same time, Sri Ramanar, Sri Seshadri Swamigal, Sri Mahaperiyava, Sri Gnanananda Swamigal and other saints – all at almost the same time!
Later when I started reading a lot of articles about Mahaperiyava, in one incident Periyava Himself was aspiring to become like Sri Seshadri Swamigal.
Some gnanis stay in trance/samadhi state for some time and come back to normalcy to be in this world and some don’t. They always live in bliss and while they are in bliss, their activities might look like a madmen. Sri Seshadri Swamigal was one such saint. One would understand how much He and Ramana Maharishi spent time in Tiruvannamalai and in fact Sri Seshadri Swamigal protected Sri Ramana Maharishi while some miscreants tried to stone Maharishi etc during the earlier days. He said that He is none other Kamakshi and Ramanar is none other than Subrahmanya Swami. He was once called as “Boy with the golden hand” from an incident that happened with a Lord Krishna doll. That same doll is now with one of His family members now. This doll was brought to Sri Matam and Mahaperiyava did alinganam to this doll and blessed their family members and asked them to do puja, which still goes on! He is the mahan with golden hand!
Certain things happen for certain reasons – we dont know how or why. For Sri Seshadri Swamigal, there is an adishtanam in Tiruvannamalai where He attained mukthi and Mahaperiyava asked the great writer Sri Bharaneedharan to build a place in Kanchipuram where He spent most time. Strangely, there is none at His birthplace – Vazhur. It is because of Sri Mahaperiyava who came in the dream of Sri Veeramani in USA and asked him to visit Vazhur and get involved in building the Manimandapam. What a baghyam! Similarly few great devotees (Sri Bakthavatchalam, Dr Sridhar, Auditor Sri Ravi) got together on this project and along with Sri Mahalakshmi mami, this project has started in Vazhur under Sri Seshadri Swamigal Arakkattalai. The family members of Sri Seshadri Swamigal are also involved in this project.
The team has prepared a very beautiful video for 45 mts. Mami sent me this video few days back and asked me to sit and watch with full attention. I ask you all to do the same. This brings out so many great information to us all. Please watch this video with your family.
We all are aware of the current COVID situation going on that has an impact to many people’s economic situation also. I pray Sri Swamigal and Mahaperiyava to bless them all and help us come out of this pandemic situation. Regardless, please set aside at least Rs 100 or $100 towards this project as your support and reach out to Mahalakshmi mami to see how you can get involved in this project – could be in so many ways. We all need blessings of this mahan to uplift our spiritual journey.
There is a reference to His diva charithram in this video – not sure where this book is available.

Yes, please see the post as I have updated it with more contact information.
To my knowledge, the photo, where Swamigal is sitting like a king, was taken a few moments before his Mahasamadhi.
Mahesh Anna, you are absolutely right in pointing that all mahaans were in the same time in TN, including Sivan Sar. Blessed are those people who had their darshaan. If given a chance (a boon) I would definitely do a time travel to have darshan of all these mahaans.
