This is remarkable for an 8-year old! This is natural talent. This should be properly encouraged and nourished and not pampered. The child should be trained suitably-with professional guidance.
Drawing, painting, sketching are all forms of intelligence, no less than reading and writing. Howard Gardner of Harvard University has explained all this in his 1983 book “Frames of Mind” which expounds the theory of Multiple Intelligences. A child gifted with the talent for drawing should be encouraged to develop that talent and be encouraged to flower into an artist! Who knows, we may have another Silpi, or Gopulu or R.K.Laxman in the making! May God and Guru bless the child.
