Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – In what has been an all-night (16 hrs) affair managed to rescue 47 cows from Marakkanam (25), Namakkal (15) and Sholingallur (7). The rescue operation started around Saturday noon and completed by 9 am on Sunday. 25 rescued cows have been safely kept in a farm house in Bangalore, 15 of them in Shri Sethu Narayana’s farm in Marungapllam near Tanjore (will write a separate post on that) and 7 of them in Sri Gokula Krishna Gosala, Thiruvallur. All of these cows lives were in great danger and Sri Periyava showed us a way to save all these great souls in his Janma Nakshathram. Lots of planning, co-ordination of logistics (4 separate big trucks, jute bags, rope, hay, etc.) and physical efforts has gone behind these rescues. Pictures below.
If anyone wants to join me in the cow rescue activities please let me know your interest by writing to donations@kgpfoundation.org and I’m happy to take you along. Please ensure you are prepared to stay awake all night, skip your dinner (since you may not be willing to eat out, or find any decent restaurant nor will have time on the ground), roll-up your sleeves get your hands dirty to feed the cows with hay, grass and fodder, help load the cows in truck, roam around in a truck to various places including slaughterhouses all night.
