    i think if mutt office has a reply, they will and they should be able to give a honest answer.. but what will they do if they themselves are not sure of the yatra schedule..
    and yes, they should be polite .. what to do.. whom can we complain to? we’ll have to only bear with these..

    all our kanchi acharyas – mahaperiva, puduperiva or balaperiva.. takes interest in the welfare of all.. you may watch kanchimaamunivar program in sai tv night 8.30pm weekdays.. we can hear many instances of how mahaperiyava blessed and is still blessing everyone whether a rich or a poor..

    similarly puduperiva has been to one of the largest slums in mumbai called “dharavi” and has blessed all there.. what a karunai..

    balaperiva is also always seen blessing and taking keen interest whether listening to problems or blessing some activity or reading invitations of temples, etc.. of people from all walks of life..
    definitely we all are blessed to even see or hear about our perivas..

    since u mentioned about conversions, our mutt must be doing a lot silently to stop them.. since publicity will only create unwanted mess.. and media will be ready to create some false news and spread hatred..

    • yes.. our kanchi acharyas’ karunai towards all beings cannot be matched.. shankara potri potri..

      also there is an acharya who gives shiva dikshai, narasimha dikshai, etc to stop conversions especially in remote villages.. google search for- hariharapura shiva deeksha.. also watch facebook.com/sreemath/videos/1994762380634658/ to see how all classes of people are equally blessed..
      the speed in which X’ians, etc are targetting hindus for conversions, hindus should be ready to teach them a hard lesson so they never again think of even converting anyone.. but for that first all hindus should unite.. god knows when that itself will happen..

  2. This visit and this kind of direct interaction with the common people by Sri Periyava is both welcome and very heartening. Times have changed, everyone is getting educated and consequently there is a general rise in the standard of awareness and expectation among common people. Intense political propaganda of the last 60 years in Tamil Nadu has spread the idea that the Mutt is a Brahmin outfit for the benefit of Brahmins. In fact, the idea that Hinduism is an Aryan import and is not the religion of the Tamils is deeply entrenched among the younger generation , who have been through the secularised education system, accessed by many through Christian schools. However much other people may talk or write, nothing can equal our Acharya himself directly interacting with common people.
    At the same time some caution is necessary. Conversion activity is very intense in Tamil Nadu, and the direct contact with the general public may attract the ire of the conversion lobbies and through them their political masters.
    It is here that those who are in charge of the administration and day to day activities of the Mutt have a great responsibility to provide healthy interaction with the common man. It seems something is lacking here, judged by some views expressed here that the Mutt does not even respond to correspondence.
    Times have changed; communication is very essential. PR is important.

    • Our Kanchi Mutt is soaked in tradition and simpleness, with the divine aura of non-partial and ever-caring Jagadgurus!

      Well, but there are mutts that have the worst possible selfish administrators/ion that :
      = lie blatantly, whether or not in the presence of acharyas;
      = take the names of Mahaperiyava and Kamakshi and do whatever ill they desire;
      = always dream/talk gold and cash and its accumulation for benefit of their rich-selfish-elite-group;
      = abuse/cheat/disappoint commoners by their words/actions;
      = act as though they are very religious and charitable (in any daanam/dharmam);
      = give the least/no information about the whereabouts (tour programme/temple visits, etc) of their acharyas;
      = do not allow commoners to take photos of/with acharyas, instead they take photos without permission of not just the acharyas, but also the idols of temples that their acharyas visit, even if photography is banned inside the temples!!
      = conduct non-dharmic activities inside mutt/temple premises like romance movies, debates of negativity, and concerts by individuals that shamelessly sing for anti-hindu organisations!!

      Mutts set up for the propogation of dharma, neither earns its name by the display of its wealth/weight/height of gold/silver aasanas/idols/vessels; nor by giving prasadam in silver/gold vessels!!

      Its the dharma alone that protects the ones who follow Dharma! Dharmo rakshati rakshitah.

      Kanchi Shankara!! Kamakoti Shankara!!

      • Sir, why should we talk of other Mutts? Tamil Nadu situation is peculiar and serious. Here, due to continuous propaganda of the last 80 years, Temples, Mutts, Hinduism itself – are all identified as examples of Brahmin superiority, domination and exclusiveness- a sort of Brahmin imperialism. (பிராம்மண ஆதிக்கம்). An impression has been created that our Mutt is run for the benefit of Brahmins. Anyone who has read the extensive speeches of Mahaperiyava knows that he was imposing the highest standards of thought and conduct on Brahmins- by always reminding them of their dharma and insisting on their performing it faithfully. The point is that if the Brahmin lives following his dharma, he will be setting an example for others to follow. But this is not how it is understood by the general (non -Brahmin) public. They are falling victim to conversion which is spreading endemically in Tamil Nadu. In the last 10 years alone, more than 15,000 new churches have been constructed in as many villages. [ At the same time, many old and famous temples are remaining without even regular puja in many villages.]The very religious demography of Kanyakumari is changing against Hindus. Villages around Rameshwaram are getting subject to Muslim conversion. In the circumstances,something has to be done urgently. So far, the main Shankara Mutts in the South have not done much publicly to counter this trend. At the same time, there is risk of political reaction of an adverse kind, if they get involved directly. The non-Brahmin classes are also getting educated fast and occupying higher posts in all walks of life. With such social change have arisen some expectations. It is therefore necessary to make them feel that the Mutt is also working for their welfare- and it is not an exclusive Brahmin outfit. As the old hierarchical system does not prevail anymore, there must be some visible signs of engagement of non-Brahmins. It is in this context that Periyava’s direct talk, of his own accord, with a commoner becomes significant. Not that there has to be a public show, but some gesture that will convey the public concern.
        In view of the high decibel and high visibility publicity against Hinduism in Tamil Nadu, something needs to be done. Our Acharyal’s spontaneous gesture will send the right signal.

        AT the same time, the image of the Mutt is made by the people who act on behalf of it, in whatever capacity. In these days of instant communication, people do expect a response for queries. Not that the answer has always to be favourable, but there has to be a response, always polite, even if not favourable.

  3. I want to know when H h Balaperiyava come to Kanchi mutt? we would like to get dharsan from mutt
    But all of them are simply says we don’t know.If I write letter to mutt/camp office there is no response.
    May I request H H Balaperiyava to advice their staff to response the devottees anticipation
