  1. Thank you for sharing Mahesh ji. I had finished learning mahanyasam just this past spring and didn’t realize the first introductory mantras are exactly chanted here for panchamukeshwarar. Although I have noticed typically maharudrams in US have skipped the initial 2 pages , probably not technically mahanyasam itself…

    Shankara!!

  2. Reason why Pudhu Periyava is addressed as that is explained by Sri Vittaldas Maharaj in the below link

    starting from 5:49:40

JAYA JAYA SHANKARA HARA HARA SHANKARA

  3. Jaya Jaya sankara Hara Hara Sankara. Saranam Saranam. Janakiraman. Nagapattinam

It is indeed an irony of sorts that “Kuzhandai Periyavaa or “Baala Periyava” has become “Sri Periyava” but our “Pudhu Periyavaa” lived, attained samadhi and continues to be “Pudhu Periyava” only.
He couldn’t get his promotion as “Periyava” ever!

  5. Wonderful dharshan and he has asked to stick the slokas to be chanted for each face, inside the temple. Taken on 22nd of June, 2019 just before leaving to attend the Kumbabishekam of Ilaiyathangudi Periyava Adhishtanam at Ilaiyathangudi on 23rd of June, 2019 http://www.kamakoti.org/kamakoti/details/Ilayathangudi%20Adhistanam.html

  6. Namasthe,
    Thank you for sharing.
