  1. Reblogged this on Sage of Kanchi and commented:

Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – A gentle reminder on this…Please book your tickets if you have not done so yet….all these opportunities come very rarely in our life times….Rama Rama

  2. Extremely relevant write-up for the devout.
The write-up however is full of mistakes in transliteration of almost every Sanskrit word, and reads like mispronunciation by Tamil speaking people. Eg. Bow=dhanu / dhanush= chaapa. chaape means ‘in the bow’ or by contextual implication = in the month of ‘bow’= in dhanurmaasam or in Margazhi. Also, the Sanskrit word for ‘gift’ without expectation is to be written as ‘DAANAM” and not as ‘DHAN” which would mean ‘wealth’.
The Slokam giving out the months of Maha Pushkaram at different rivers, is INCOMPLETE, as the month of Tulaa, =Aippasi, is left out, which is the most relevant one for this Brahmaputra Pushkaram.
