Brief about this temple

This is a Punniya Kshethram where Maha Periyava observed Chatur Masya Vrattam and did Chandramouleeswarar Puja. The place where Maha Periyava did Puja is now a Bhajanai Mandapam inaugurated by Sri (Bala) Periayava recently. Periyava Dharmapura Adheenam was also born in this sacred place.
