This play Jagadguru Adi Shankara – A Play aired in Vividh Bharathi – ‘Chennai Vanoli Varthaga oliparappu’ as it was called… Year 1984 /85. Pranams to all those who put this play together with Periyava’s guidance…🙏🙏The whole play/script was reviewed and approved by Mahaperiyava Himself.
My mother Srimathi Subramanian was the producer of this play and my sister Anuradha played the part of Sarvagyathman.
A blessing that we relive again and again, that Maha Periyava listened to this 12th episode of Shankara’s Sarvagnya Peetarohanam, every word of it, along with Pudu Periyava and Bala Periyava.
Mahaperiyava asked:
“Producer Srimathi enga? Vandrukkala?”
“Sarvagnyatmana panna kozhanda yaaru?”
His voice is still ringing in my ears…….. How can we ever forget Periyava blessing you with a Rudraksha prasadam and a shawl that we still preserve ……!!!
Wish we could get hold of the entire 12 episodes of the play. Thankfully could at least save this 12th episode on Sri Bhagavatpadacharya’s Kanchi Sarvagnya Peetarohanam.

The book “Age of Sankara” by T.S. Narayana Sastry finds approval and appreciation in Deivaththin Kural by Saakshaat Sri Mahaperiyavaa himself. The book clearly says Sri Adi Sankaracharya was born in 2593 of Kaliyuga corresponding to 509 BC, and attained moksham in 2625 BC corresponding to 477 BC. Those who believe our Acharya was born in 9th or 10th century are in an illusory world of Maya. Unless they decide to come out of it on their own, I guess nobody can help them off their delusion.
Check the dates of Sarvagyatman – it should be in BC not 9th century

It was good to hear the recording. Audio was good. The story content was very nice.
However, there is a small discrepancy in the video. Towards the end, in the video, the picture of SarvagYAtman says (10 century CE).
You may want to correct and change that to 5th century BCE.
