Thanks to Sri Ganapathysubramanian for the share. It is wonderful to see doing samashti upanayanam in Matam. In fact in the past few years there has been an increasing trend in doing upanayanam in Sri Matam by many. By doing this, we are exactly following what Mahaperiyava had said – not wasting any money in unwanted expenses – just spending only for vaideeka related ones. Some people approach me to get information on how to organize an upanayanam for their kids in Matam. I suggest them to talk to the Sri Karyam in the Matam office for details. If any of you have any additional information on this, please share here….It would help many….
