‘ஸத்ஸங்கம்’ என்பதற்கு இன்னொரு அர்த்தம் சொல்லலாம். ஸத்வஸ்து என்பது எக்காலும் மெய்ப் பொருளாயிருக்கும் ஆத்மா ஒன்றுதான். தேஹாத்ம புத்தியை நீக்கி அந்த ‘ஸத்’ தான நிஜ ஆத்மாவில் சேர்வதுதான் ‘ஸத்ஸங்கம்’. ஸத்புருஷர்களின் ஸங்கத்தினால் ஏற்படும் நிஸ்ஸங்கத்வம் கடைசியில் இந்தப் பெரிய ‘ஸத்’தின் ஸங்கத்தைத்தான் உண்டாக்கித் தரவேண்டும். அப்போது “நான், நான்”என்று இப்போது நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பது எதுவோ, நம்முடைய இத்தனை உபத்ரவங்களுக்கும் காரணம் எதுவோ, அது ஏக பரமாத்ம ஞானத்தில் அடிபட்டுப் போய், அந்த ஞான வஸ்துவின் பூர்ணானந்த ரூபமாகவே நாம் ஆகிவிடலாம். அது வேறே, நாம் வேறே என்று நினைக்கிறவரை ‘நான்’, ‘எனது’ என்கிற எண்ணங்கள் (அஹங்கார-மமகாரங்கள் என்பவை) இருந்து கொண்டேதான் இருக்கும். முதலில் ஸத்வஸ்துவை ஈச்வரன் என்று வேறேயாக வைத்தே அவன் கையில் இந்த அஹங்கார மமகார ‘நானை’ப் பிடித்துக் கொடுத்தால் இது உபத்ரவம் பண்ணுவதை விட்டுவிடும். அப்புறம் அவன் வேறேயாக இருக்க வேண்டாம் என்று இதைத் தானாகவே உயர்த்தி, உணர்த்திக் காட்டி விடுவான். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர ஸரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்
There can be another meaning for Satsang. Truth is always one. Athma is always one. Merging with that Athma, after shedding the delusion about our physical self is the True Satsang. The association with the holy men will eventually take us to this state of absolute lack of attachments. Then, in that state, the ego which is the root cause of all our troubles is destroyed by the Ultimate Knowledge of the Divine Supreme and we become one with that Enlightened, Blissful whole. As long as we nurture a sense of duality, Ego will continue to bother us. When we visualize Eswara as someone other than us and surrender the Ego at His feet, it will cease to trouble us.
